I think the update is for those on 3.1?
I had 2.4>3.2 at the dealer last year so don’t expect to actually get any sort of update for a while!
Unless anyone knows different?

Re: Winter range
EV’s will lose 20-30% of their range in winter. It’s that simple. All sorts of reasons but you can’t escape that I’m afraid.
Below 10 degrees it starts going south… we’re lucky in the UK though - as hot temps lead to faster battery deg. So we sit in a sort of sweet spot temp wise.

No car is perfect - and I'll stand by that... 2011 1.6tdi golf from new to 90k miles. Changed two tyres - nothing else (paid for servicing every 12k miles though..). Very good car but that was 90k miles with the VW sanctioned cheat device in full flow... Something about the seat and driving position...

Looking at pictures of the unit on EBay

It looks like it just clips in.

Re: Winter range
I find the brakes to be lacking in D mode, pretty scary going from B to D after a while, feels like the car isn't going to stop. That’s because it isn’t going to stop - it’s coasting. To stop in D mode, use the brake. The only time you’ll get regenerative braking in D mode is; - when going downhill...

I’d prefer it if they did away with the pointless logo on the puddle lights etc.. whilst others may like it - the id light wouldn’t be missed by me either..

Re: First long trip tomorrow in ID.3
BE warned on a long or any trip. No spare wheel was supplied or suggested with my ID3. I've had two blowouts. RAC can't help because new tyre needed and their recommended cowboys ripped us off with unmatching and wrong tyres fitted - which, you've guessed it, we had to replace. As long as you're in...

Happened to me when it’s wet/very cold.
I’ve turned mine off now - don’t mind using the key fob.

Re: Winter range
3rd id winter here - my rule of thumb is 75% of summer range. In winter - however - it’s far more variable. Cabin heater usage, battery temp, weather conditions (rain/snow/wibd) all vary more than in Summer - which makes the GOM even more inconsistent! For example - in summer short journeys (less th...

Congratulations!!
To also help - I think you can fit one of those three across the back car seats that clip into two isofixes etc..
My sister in law has three kids and gets on well with an Enyaq.

Not had that in both of mine - and first time I’ve heard of the issue. BTW - does yours have a pano roof? There have been seal problems there. Though squeaks rather than leaks!

Re: Dead ID3
Yes - the lock the car and leave it for 20 min 'reboot' seems to work for several problems. Mine had 'side assist' error the other day that disappeared next time I started it! Interestingly my OBD reader gives about 70 errors for the module communication tab - so I suspect many of these errors cured...

Re: Variable boot hight kit
Variable floor came with my car. Nifty kit for 100 bucks in my view, hides the cables, dog blanket and some other crap. On long trips it is removed, and I put the spare wheel (as it is too heavy for the fibreglass floor) in with a couple of bags. Exactly the same for me. BTW (long story) but I have...

Re: ID.3 58 KW range
Speed and heating are range killers on motorway, if you can bear it turn off heating and drop behind lorry at 60mph or just under and you can hit summer range even on cold days. Just wrap up warm. I'd politely disagree wrt heating. In my 2.5 years of ID3-ing I've come to the conclusion that on Moto...
