Re: LHD Wipers Fitted to RHD Car
I don't understand this thread. I've had my iD3 for about six months and never experienced any problems driving in the rain. The sweeps on the passenger and driver side are almost identical and leave the windscreen clear apart from a very narrow strip at the extreme edges. In fact I'd say it was su...

Re: LHD Wipers Fitted to RHD Car
I don't know. Never actually driven a Born. Connolly has misremembered how the ID3 wipers work so I just clarified that. The Born's are obviously similar but they could have corrected the direction. They definitely corrected the location of the light switch panel. I drove a Born about a year ago bu...

Re: LHD Wipers Fitted to RHD Car
The ID3 wipers both wipe from the centre in the way you describe for the Born. The issue in heavy rain is that the passenger blade comes back down after the driver side blade so can splash the driver side of the screen until the driver blade comes back up. Trying to follow this thread but I’m confu...

Re: LHD Wipers Fitted to RHD Car
In February this year I traded from the ID3 to the Cupra Born. As you know the cars are very similar underneath but there are quite a number of differences which make for a nicer car IMHO. On the wipers both wipe from the centre to the outer edges of the windscreen. Having experienced water being p...

Re: Ineffective Air Conditioning
I took my ID3 into the local dealer yesterday because it had a couple niggles which needed sorting. One was that during the hot weather I noticed that the air conditioning was completely ineffective blowing our warm air. Over a period of a few weeks it became clear that when it was cooler outside t...

Re: Oil used in my id3 service!
The brake fluid change was included in my £199 service plan (the one that also includes an MoT) and I was told that "it's recommended at 2 years". Which is fine, 2 years, 3 years, 'whatever', provided it's done....They also told me that my car needed an A/C re-gas. When I enquired ("...

Re: VW Roadside Assistance European Cover
I have a 18 month old ID3 and I’m going to France for 2 weeks. My understanding that is covered by VW Assist but it’s not clear if that includes recovery back to the U.K. Any other owners have experience of this cover and should I consider additional cover? Many thanks. Interesting question. I thin...

Re: Incorrect range reported in the App.
It started around the time that cars started being delivered with 3.0. My car (app) never had the issue for the first 6-12 months. It's of no importance anyway, the GOM prediction is useless you are midway through a journey so looking at it in the app is never actually helpful...but having had the ...

Re: Incorrect range reported in the App.
Good knowledge Sherlock. I have just made the same change, will look out for if the error still occurs. Sadly I have to report that the App has tonight reverted to showing the range as 124 miles instead of the 200 miles in the car, despite the Units/Distance being set to miles. I haven't changed an...

Re: Incorrect range reported in the App.
I chased this up 2 weeks ago with VW Customer Services with a complaint about this as it was months ago we got an answer back from them stating they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix. I got the same response this time around. There are no words that can define the software team behi...

Re: New or facelift ID.3
Does anyone have information on when the new/facelift ID.3 might be in the showrooms to look at? Also is it correct that the larger middle screen will not be available on updated cars in the UK until 2024 (I read this somewhere) Thanks as always for any help. From what I can understand, the screen ...

Re: Auto closure of windows not working after 3.2 upgrade
I havent noticed that but have a slightly different problem with my windows. If I open my windows down to say, half way (or less than fully open) - when I eventually want to close them and apply the switch to close, they open fully. Driver or passengers have the same problem. Whats that all about? ...

I suppose what the OP was asking was, if our pumps, replaced some time ago are ok, why have his replacement pump(s) failed.steviebabes wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 5:21 pm Same here, new pump at 5K miles and no further problems now on 15K. I think a new up-rated pump was fitted.

Re: The faulty cooling pump saga (electric drive failure)
My Sept 21 ID3 has had the pump replaced, due to the electric drive error. That was about a year ago and has been fine ever since.

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled
Car had to be recovered after brakes seized on (apparently due to build up of dirt due to low usage as mainly used in regenerative braking setting) Software update completed at the same time, now the cruise control does not work (says it has been deactivated and the voice control has kicked in agai...

Re: Weconnect app change
Mine shows miles, if you go into the person icon, bottom right and app settings, does yours show mi or km Yes, I know about that setting. If I go into it and change the setting to kilometres, it then shows the correct miles figure. It does rectify itself (sometimes) when I unlock the car and drive ...

Re: Weconnect app change
Just noticed the We.ID app has changed to just "Volkswagen" and the icon changed to a VW badge, cannot see any diffrence in content but interesting why they just call it Volkswagen now. I'm on IOS by the way, might be different on Android Unfortunately, they can call it whatever they like...
