Re: Official post on VW ID. Drivers Club FB group regarding updates
The box is hidden in my account - settings ,vehicle consent management- my volkswagen primary users It's so well hidden that it is completely invisible no matter which area of which website I go to. No "vehicle consent management" option / section anywhere in the website settings for app,...

Re: Bridgestone Turanza tyres and punctures.
Or you could just change the tyres? The Euranzas are not great, with a low start depth of 5mm in comparison with to up to 8mm in others. Once my Euranzas are shot, I'm switching to a combi tyre, there's plenty of recommendations if you root around this forum. Rob I wonder if anyone has tried to get...

Re: Official post on VW ID. Drivers Club FB group regarding updates
I did not have it to start with, but it later appeared. Just keep trying every so often. From the myvolkswagen website, you need to click the little button with your initials in it and then click settings. There was another menu to click through after that which I've forgotten but you can search ar...

Re: Door mirror woes
Shocked that this last post is 2021!! Ive had my ID3 for 18months, it was 12 months old when I bought it.. Just tried to get in and my wing mirrors will not open, either when I unlock the car, try to press the button on door rail, or set of at over 20 mph. Not done it before except on occasions whe...

Re: Replacement windscreen problems
Just had to have a new windscreen on my ID3 Performance Pro. Had it done under the insurance and LV mandated that I went to National Windscreens. They did a poor job. They have done goodness knows what with the rain sensor and I am now getting front assist warnings that it is not fully functional, ...

Re: Official post on VW ID. Drivers Club FB group regarding updates
In the absence of any information stating what new features or bug fixes are provided I think I'll give the OTA update to software 3.2.1 a miss for the time being. I've become unwell recently and the thought of my ID.3 being bricked by an update when I need it for travelling to hospital outpatient ...

Re: Official post on VW ID. Drivers Club FB group regarding updates
Anyone in the UK able to find this setting they speak of? I can't find it at all. It seems some people have the option and others don't. https://i.imgur.com/pVoT7wK.png I think this has been discussed in a thread on here, or on the speakev forum. I can’t find the setting they are referring to eithe...

Re: Unable to login as Primary user
The Moon is 238,855 miles away, when the Japanese moon lander vehicle failed, they managed to fix it remotely. My first car was a Mini, when it played up, a quick spray of WD40 or a moisture repellent and I was on my way. VW on the other hand do not appear to be able to build a reliable moveable co...

Re: Unable to login as Primary user
Actually that has worked for me (added a completely new VW id) VW Actually asked me for loads of pictures/screenshot/ videos even after being on the phone with me for 30 minutes telling them each option they asked me to try I had already done at least 3 times. Funnily enough, I was sitting in the c...

Re: Unable to login as Primary user
I had to reset my car ( iD.3 first edition, software 3.2) as couldn't get Intelligent Octopus to "find the car" Now I can't login as Primary user. Tried adding using QR code in car and aslo via app by adding VIN, still no luck. The notification on the car says successfully added as Primar...

Re: New ID.3 owner!
Welcome! I can't answer all of that but I'll help with some of it. My car doesn't have Travel Assist but ACC is brilliant in urban traffic, stop/start etc. I use it in almost all urban and motorway driving. Not so much on country roads. Personally though I prefer to turn off the "speed limit p...

Re: List of design faults - can anyone help?
What happened Scratch? What is the fault? It has decided to stop allowing delayed charging. i.e. utilising a TOU tariff such as Octopus Intelligent, or using the timers in my Zappi charger. Also, I was requested by the VW tech, on the recommendation of VW UK, to delete myself from the VW app and st...

Re: List of design faults - can anyone help?
No car is perfect - and I'll stand by that... 2011 1.6tdi golf from new to 90k miles. Changed two tyres - nothing else (paid for servicing every 12k miles though..). Very good car but that was 90k miles with the VW sanctioned cheat device in full flow... Something about the seat and driving positio...

Re: Condensation and water droplets inside headlight
I took the car to the dealers this morning for the condensation in the nearside headlight issue, I got a call back from them a couple of hours later. "We notice that your nearside rear tyre has 2.75mm tread left on it, the other side has 6mm. Do you want us to change it while the car is with u...

Re: First EV
We were thinking of changing our lowly Life ID3 for something a bit more premium, but after trying a few others, I am beginning to think the ID3 is the perfect car for us. Does anyone know when they might bring out the true facelift version, with things like the heater/volume controls being lit at n...

Re: Consumption?
I find the whole range left 'Guessometer' hilarious to be honest. It's nothing but a shot in the dark by the cars AI based on numerous factors, and should be seen as a very fuzzy approximation. A larger display of battery percentage remaining would be better, maybe with a green 100 - 50%, amber 50 ...

Re: Consumption?
So if I understand correctly, if I preheat the car for about 5 minutes, then get in and hit the break pedal, the car calculation doesn’t take into account any energy expended for the preheat? So in that case the 3.2 figure I am seeing could be true for the journey but is not true in relation to the ...

Consumption?
Does anyone else have doubts about the consumption data being shown in the car? I’ve just done a trip whereby the car is saying it achieved 3.2Miles/kWh If I do my man maths (other genders are available) I calculate 1.7Miles/kWh. Odd? Or am I missing something? The temperature at the time was at or ...
