Hi all,

The car is going in for a 2.4 update in 2 weeks but the dealer indicated that the 12V battery doesn't need to be replaced.

I've searched around, and considering the age of our car, we took delivery in December 2020, I'm a little sceptical that the dealer is correct.

Can anyone confirm either way for me please?

Thanks!

When I contacted VWCS about my update, the guy I spoke to was adamant that my model Life Pro Performance purchased July 21 needed the update but did not need a battery, and even though I queried it he said no. I then phoned and spoke to the serv manager at the dealer from who I bought it, and he said that he would log on to VW site and check. At this point he said it did need the battery and so its in on August 11th .
Life Pro Performance, 58Kw, Manganese Grey,
19"Andoyas. Picked up 9 July 21 from local VW with 2.1 updated to 2.3 Oct.
7 Kw Pod Point Solo 2, now a solo 3 after new pcb fitted.

My ID3, 1 year and 1 month after I owned it, had a problem with the 12V battery (not enough charge) - this this information on the small dashboard.
It was sent to the dealer, and the dealer replaced it. The problem was that it took 1 full week until the problem was found (?!)
