I have gone into the mirrors section of the 'Vehicle' part of the infotainment system and there I am able to toggle on dipped mirrors when reversing.

But when I reverse the mirrors do not budge.

Is this perhaps something not included in the spec of my 2022 ID3 Pro ?

I doubt that would be the cause of the problem given it is there to select in the infotainment.

Anybody else have the same issue / any solution ?

Definitely included.
Only the passenger mirror will dip (no need for driver mirror to dip as it's right next to you).
You need to program it first.
Use your the key you want the setting saved to, to unlock the car.
Select reverse.
Adjust passenger mirror.
Select neutral.
Switch off. Setting is saved.
Every time you need the passenger mirror to dip you must put the mirror selector to passenger.
The car does not remember the setting (both a blessing and a curse - depending if you want it or not at the time).

Great thanks.

Didn't realize I needed to teach it.

I am sure that will work.

I had the same problem but in reverse. I taught it but didn’t realise I also had to instruct it via the infotainment

Ah ha. I wasn’t aware of the teaching bit. I just turned the knob on the door when reversing and it dipped, but not to an ideal angle. Gonna see if I can teach it now.

My previous Golfs always dipped a bit better for me (and remembered the setting as you could leave the selector on passenger).

I finally got round to setting this up.

The passenger mirror now dips when I reverse if I have the door button/selector pointing at 'L'

But the mirror does not return to its normal place when I move the car out of reverse and into drive.

I have to switch the door button/selector back away from L in order for the mirror to return to the usual driving position

Is that right ?

Seems odd that I have to remember to switch back away from 'L' as the whole idea for me was for the dipping to be automated both down and back up....to prevent me forgetting and driving off with the mirror dipped.

It is automatic. The mirror resets after you drive off (over about 5mph).
