As anyone else had an update that took 15 minutes. Can’t find anywhere what’s changed!?

Yes, it's rolling out gradually to everyone a few weeks after 3.7. We've had it on our ID4 but not our ID3 yet. It's something to do with the drive. I didn't notice any difference.

Version I got mentioned something about being a pre-requisite for further OTA updates. No difference.

Wonder if pushing this update out has something to do with the cloud systems all failing ? 🤔

No, it's been gradually rolling out for a while, maybe 6-8 weeks. It says something about the drive system in the more information page.

Had the update this morning. As I reached our local village hall and parked up for two hours I set it in motion.
Turned off the lights as instructed and exited the vehicle and locked up.
Confirmation that all had gone well when I returned. There was also a note about the car making a temporary connection to the internet.
No noticable difference that I could detect. And no change from 3.7 either.

What software version does the car show after this update please?
Not sure if I have had it or not. Seem to recall a very quick update a few weeks before Xmas but not sure now.

Still 3.7
This update does not alter the version.

Do you know if it changes the longer number in system info in vehicle settings in the infotainment at all?
Or is there any other way to tell if you have had the update?

I haven't explored any further than the ID Software 3.7 number I'm afraid; so I cannot say one way or the other. Sorry!

Not as far as I know within the car.
If you go to this address...
https://www.dieteren.be/en/recall
...and type in your VIN it will tell you if any recalls are outstanding on your car. This particular update is termed "S-OTA update: ID.S 3.5.5 (OUI4)". (3.7 was also 3.5.4 for some reason). This website is the Belgian importer but it works for all cars and it seems to update pretty quickly, unlike the Australian one that gets shared sometimes. Once your car has had the update the recall will disappear and the website will tell you nothing is due. For our ID4 it was certainly updated within around a week (that was approx when I looked).

But to be clear, although this is a 15 minute update, it starts with the same procedure as the long ones, not from an infotainment notification, so you'd be hard pressed to install it without realising.

No, the software version in system information remains the same; 1751.
The only control module that gets updated is the inverter; 6045 -> 6050.

Mine is still on 1741 yet I’ve been getting all the updates as far as I know. Certainly not seen anything I haven’t got.

I had a short update today and also one last Monday, but still showing 3.7 and 1741 in the Infotainment.
Maybe 1751 relates to something only some cars have?
Todays update was something to do with updating VW login process (??), and last Mondays was something to do with enabling VW to analyse how much apps in the car are being used. Would be nice if you could still see the update information after the update has completed.

I'm still on 3.2 though I had the allow updates email months ago, but I also had the VW login process update yesterday and the allow VW to analyse app use on Saturday.
Maybe I'll get 3.7 soon

I've had two of these OTA updates in the last few weeks. I wonder if they are satnav database updates rather than software?

Nav updates automatically, you don't get any saying/notification.
Check your "System Information" screen, your map version is there under "Navigation database:"
For example 25.02 means map version February 2025.

Where do I find the statement about control module versions? "System Information" doesn't list anything like that.

I had another short OTA update on Thursday, but nothing seems to have changed as a result.
