ID3 Software Update v2.3

Can anyone tell me if the ‘Over the Air’ update v2.3 is available in the UK yet.

Nothing to do with the UK specifically, there is an initial smaller update followed by a larger one.
I know of 1 person in the UK who was selected to be part of a small initial group of customers.
His car had the smaller update last week, he’s still waiting for signs of the larger one.

Was there a message in the infotainment system that told him the update had occurred?
He was told the update was available to install on the “goodbye” screen, he opted to start it, locked his car up and left it to install.
There are videos on YouTube (made by other owners) that show how it works, both for the smaller first update and the larger second one.

I had the update available today. Just said read more... its in my notifications now. I'm hesitant to do it right now as we're on holiday.

Just received part 1 of the update this morning. Installed in about 30 seconds with no issues.

I had the small update last week. But today I had another small update then 30 mins later the car is downloading "the big one". An hour has passed and the progress bar is on 50% now.

Curiously, I didn't install it as I was about to drive off. Started the car twice now since that and it's not in my notifications any more and can't find it.

I had the same experience, so locked the car and returned 30 mins later and it is now downloading. Started at 10am, it's now 12:20 and 66% has now downloaded. Then the installation will take all afternoon. Just as well I don't need the any more today!

My car offered to install updates to ORURN and Background System Services, so while this might be some prep for the 2.3 rollout it doesn't really do anything noticeable and installs while you're sat in the driver seat (which the 2.3 updates won't do)

That's the one it offered me, but as I didn't install it I now can't find it.
Does it change the software build number?

The software build number was unchanged after the mini update earlier.
Still “patiently” waiting for the proper update to finish downloading…..

Okay, interesting. If the build number is unchanged, how am I supposed to know if its installed or not? Also, where do you see the download progress for the larger one?

In the settings menu 3/4 of the way down there is something like "system info" press on that and the update should show.
My installation has started now so I don't want to disturb the process by taking a pic - sorry!

I don't think this is 2.3, it seems to have gone out to every car. I wonder if it's a tweak to the process for what will be the 2.3 rollout.

They always said there were two updates, a small one followed by a larger one. I heard though the small one takes 40 minutes to install, whereas everyone here is saying this is taking more like 40 seconds.
