Hi all
Just ordered a new id.3 (life pro performance) on a three year lease. I found someone with one in stock and given the 4-5 month lead times at the moment decided to just go for it.
Am currently driving a 2012 2L BMW diesel 3-series estate but a) climate change b) don't need such a big car now and c) the London emissions charges have led me to go for an electric. Looking forwards to finding out how different it is!
Just pulled the pin...

I do like it in white!
I've always liked the VAG flat grey, so was pleased when I found out the standard Moonstone was a flat grey. It would have been a tough choice if white was a no cost colour.

I got mine a few weeks ago, PCP but dealer found a stock car in a spec I liked so only waited a week for it!
I came from an M140i and I honestly find the ID3 more fun on a bendy road, I could never drive the M140 on the limit it was too fast but the ID.3 is so much fun with the instant power! Enjoy your new car!

First thoughts:
1) Can't believe how big it feels given the actual size of the thing
2) So goddamn easy to just drive. Still keep reaching for the gearstick though.
3) All the journos are whining about the regenerative braking but it really works for me at that level.
4) It's going to take me a while to get properly to grips with the UI. Spent ages trying to change the locking so that the nearside doors and boot opened with the keyfob until I finally found the right setting.
5) SHINY.
