I'm going to send some brickbats to VW UK now, because clearly the memory seats aren't being fitted when the brochure says they are. I'm not surprised by this error on their part, but my hopes have been dashed and I'm going to have a moan at them :-)
It depends on when the OP's vehicle was built, as mentioned earlier in the thread metcast recalls the Tour always having area view and if that's the case and if the OP's was built around week 27 or before it may well have missed what the 1st July price/speclist is stating.
This why earlier I asked the OP if they knew which week there Tour was built.

I'm still going to give VW UK a broadside regardless, I feel they're probably overdue one anyway :-D

I tried 3 years ago but they really think they are above it all. Dieselgate I belive has only hit them financially as they seem to keep selling cars without any problem. That is when they have the parts to build them.

That’s really nice :D. Shame about memory seats…

Someone pointed out that the VW used to call it Area View even with just reverse camera being able to switch between wide angle and normal. Is this true?

Not as far as I can tell. VW have "Area View" videos on YouTube etc going back nearly a decade that are all multi-camera systems with birds-eye views.

"The Internet" decided that because VW erroneously claimed Area View was installed when it wasn't on the ID.3, the wide-angle rear camera view must be Area View, when it wasn't. And because "The Internet" is never wrong, it stuck.

I have found a form in the car which, amongst a lot of other information in german, references my VIN and a build date of 28th July 2021, if that helps. Build week 30?

That sounds about right. So as its late July it looks as if the memory seat is a non starter as it was first printed in the 1st July price/spec list.

Sadly I have come to the same conclusion.

Yes that is true it’s on my spec sheet for my max but it is only the wide angle and normal
But it is now called the same but has 360 view I’ve asked my dealers if it can be retro fitted just waiting for answer

I’ve noticed that the price and spec guide were updated 07 Sep. Does anybody happen to know what the changes are? Thanks

Someone asked the same question elsewhere online, it seems they were mostly fixing typos and translation issues.
