Bought a 1st edition, 1 year old.
Love the car, but fully charged only shows 200 miles of range.

Haven't driven wildly, but did a motorway round trip of 340 miles cruising at 60 - 65

Is that range normal for that kind of driving?

It won’t be any kind of severe degradation.

The predicted range depends on many factors/variables, and changes if you do different types of journeys or it suddenly gets cold.

200 miles of range is typical at this time of year. As Scott notes there are many factors. I charged to 80% two nights running, this morning the range is 180, the day before 169. Today is about the same temperature as yesterday, however yesterday I did a mainly busy A and B road journey averaging 3.9mi/kwh. The days before was weekend driving short journeys and a lower miles per kwh rate. In the summer I had seen 100% giving me 220-230 miles.

Range issues aren't just confined to EV's, ICE vehicles have similar issues but no one has been that aware. If you have had a recent ICE car with range estimates, you can see the range change based on how you drive it like roadhawk says for his ID, but also temperature affects ICE range as well and it's not just because of the extra cabin heat. A winter temp of -6C can see range drop by 12%. See article here https://www.boston.com/cars/news-and-re ... -about-it/

We typically get 170 on a 90% charge but ours lives on the motorway with average speed 70 or above and then city traffic for the last part of journey

Winter gave us much less due to the cold and strong headwinds on one way of journey

In the summer we had 240 on a trip to Devon 20@ % charge and speed reduced to 60-65

Amazing machine now most of gremlins gone!

Thought it was 2 years unlimited mileage then every 12 months or 20,000 subsequently.

Spoke with VW who entered chassis number and advised 2 years or 20k whichever comes first

In our case likely we would be near 40k in 2 years !

Local dealer advised he doesn’t think much to do and ours is one of the first they will be servicing!

Change the pollen filter yourself - that’ll save 30-50£… it is a 30 second job. About as easy as putting toast in a toaster :)
