Shortages of rear lights (family spec) and upholstery are the reasons given. Clearly one can be affected by a chip shortage but the other isn't...
I’ve also had that plus they are short of steel. Any excuse I believe is going to be used

well just had an update from vw my id3 tour build week 44 to build week 43 lol so moved abit hoping it gets better

I ordered basic life model as company car through work 5 august if I remember. Nothing since. Thought I’d best ask fleet manager for information last week. They said it hasn’t even got a build date

UPDATE... my car was supposed to have landed in the UK on 7th Feb... I have just received an email, after some pestering:

"We have been advised by Volkswagen, that your new ID3 has now left the factory and in transit to the UK. The ETA provided by VW today, is 2-3 weeks."

I await the next pack of lies in 3 weeks time...

Still no build week as of yesterday.

My Tusker order was originally late March, then late May, now late June. According to the dealer it's not even got a build date assigned yet...

I'm not a sales rep or a dealer, but I'm 99% sure your car will be a 2023 delivery going by the spreadsheet timescales I'm afraid

Seriously considering a Polestar to be honest. The lack of information from VW is driving me crazy. I doubt I'll see my ID3 order before Christmas and I'm driving round in dirty diesel costing me a fortune in BIK tax

Anyone have an idea on delivery times on a factory P* order? Got in my head around 6 months? No pre config cars showing that fit the budget right now, but I think it'll be quicker than my ID3 arriving that's for sure.

I ordered 14/02 and eta is end of May/early June

Yep. SMLR with pilot and plus packs. They rarely appear preconfigured
