That's good to know. I wonder how it ended up being an MY 22.5 since the others seem to be MY 22.

Their confirmed build week was after week 51. Confirmed build weeks < 51 are MY22, albeit perhaps with MY22+software 3.0. The order date doesn’t seem to really matter.

The UK is a very minor sideshow in the grand scheme of things. ID.4 and ID.5 are pitched squarely at the US market and Tesla’s current dominance there, which is why they’re out of the gate first.

That's interesting ! My Max still has no build week estimate, I can see me still in this forum looking up MY23 and what cars are coming with the new flying module and Nuclear range extender.

Not going to lie, that's slightly annoying, given they ordered after us but got their car much earlier!

Definitely. I take it to mean that our builds genuinely did start in October and as much as I took it as a metaphor, they probably have been sat in storage awaiting components.

MY22.5 would have been a nice gesture but really it doesn't offer that much more over MY22. Maybe the thing I'm most frustrated about is the memory seats that were listed on the configurator and the brochure at the time I ordered last July and the dealer even confirmed it, but the MY22 cars are missing this.

I wasn't sure, and actually I'm still not sure if memory seats is added as a software feature in 3.0 (I believe it adds user profiles with auto adjustment of the seats) for cars with electric seats, or whether you do still need to have the physical memory buttons down the side of the seat?

I also asked about the Government PICG grant situation, which for me, like others on here, is a game changer if its not going to be applied. I was told that if the grant expires I'll have to pay the additional £2500 or have the option to cancel. Given my build week is now around 20th Sept I think I'll be lucky to get the car within the 12 month grant eligibility period

I got the impression they don't really know about the grant, given the 3 times I was put on hold while the sales person went to ask someone else.

I've postponed my charger installation indefinitely. Not going to get that £1000 job done until the elusive ID3 is sat on the driveway.
Hope you get it soon!
I ordered the exact same car in October & still no build week!

Exactly. If memory seats are part of MY 22.5, why wouldn’t VW brag about it in the spec? But if it’s actually a 3.0 feature then there’s nothing preventing all Max and Tours from having it.

EDIT: OK, pretty much confirmed to be an MY 22.5 change. If you go to the ID3 manual page you can see 2 manuals. 1 is dated June 2021 and the other is dated November 2021. The first manual makes no mention of memory seats but the second one does.

Very frustrating given, like you said, many of us ordered with memory seats listed in the configurator and brochure.

I enquired about this with dealer, they told me that the price would be honoured no matter what happens. That being said if I see the car this year I’ll be lucky!

Will be interesting to see if production is increasing the 2nd half of this year as this article suggests.

Hey guys, quick question if anybody knows the answer.
I am part of the Max crew who are expecting cars at the end of this month - the max was sold as basically having everything other than the bigger battery. With the new software 3.0 it has the parking and lane change etc but you need the extra sensors. Are these sensors going to be on our Max trims which are MY22?
Thanks!

The article was published before Russia illegally started the war in Ukraine. They might still have problems. China's locking down all over the place, might cause supply issues.

cornbutter wrote: Fri May 06, 2022 9:33 am Just had a phone call with my dealer. They say production has been moved up from Week 27 to Week 21. They're saying delivery in late July early August depending on how long it takes to ship.

I think you're right @Utumno. I kinda wonder if all the progress we've seen in the last two weeks is because there has been a giant stockpile of parts built up (due to the factory shutdown) and that the level of production and progress that we're seeing now might not be sustainable over a longer period of time. Time will tell. Sooner or later... Time will tell.
I am also waiting on a T5 and in my latest contact with the dealer, in March was told to expect July delivery. I initially ordered in December and was told in January that my order was showing a build week of 46-49, so effectively a 2023 car.

Another update pushing mine back from early-June to late-July. Clearly no clue and just rolling it forward 10 weeks. I suspect the same will happen in another month. I won’t bother updating here again until a verified status 20 or better.
