Had first half meaningful update off dealer this week. Got "potential" build week 29, but not confirmed at factory! "Estimated" delivery late August. And with caveat that "dates are subject to change"!! No reason given, but can see the matrix lights could be causing an issue with parts therefore pushed back. Just be nice if they would say that. So am expecting Christmas, but which Christmas I would not like to say!

Hi another update for the spreadsheet, car arrived at the dealer yesterday and I’m picking it up next week on Wednesday 15th, have seen pictures of the interior and it’s my 22.5.

After over 8 months we got a call from dealer and this time rather than usual news of no update we actually were told we have a build date for the first time!
Confirmed build week of week 25 2022 (20th June) and status updated to 20.
Not totally sure when will actually get the car but some time in August I guess based on average build times

Another update from me. Moved from an estimated week 27 to week 33. That would make it 12 months since ordering until build!

My mate works for VW, the reason the Max and Family’s are being bumped back is because they cannot get matrix headlights, hence why a lot of a life’s are now flying forward and life orders staying on track, anything with matrix lights as standard or optioned are getting delayed.

I ordered a Q4 e-tron with matrix lights and tech pack late July 2021, last week it got bumped to week 36 2023 !!!,

Needless to say I cancelled, I’m now having a Merc EQB AMG 350 premium. Being delivered 30/06/22.

The difference between VAG and Merc is light years, shame as I really like the look of the Q4

That is unfortunate, the matrix headlights are one of reasons I went for the Family. But I would live without it for a discount right now.

VW could end up dropping them from the builds, I haven't looked at my order from recently but I'm sure it said something about they could change the specifications.
They could give customers the option.

My dealer said the same thing. The issues are the pano roof and the matrix lights. I think he said tiguan were effected too.

Hi. I'm a new user, but I've been lurking for a while now...

We test drove the ID.3 at two different dealerships and ordered ours on 28/04/22 in Makena Turquoise through Motorfinity as the other half gets a Blue Light card discount.

If I were to order from the dealership direct, I would have chosen the second one as the first one was quite sure we'd get the car within 6 months, but the second sales person was more upfront and told us realistically we were looking at 12 months plus, which if I'm honest, I don't mind as we have HP on a Seat Alhambra that finishes in 3 months, so we'll only be paying for one car when the ID.3 eventually arrives.

Can I be added to the updates please? I'll try get the order number today to add to it.

Today's update: I was bumped to week 40!
And they said it's because of the cable factory in Ukraine, they used to work 7 days a week, now they are working only one day per week.

Just got an update from my leasing company. Still no build date but have left expected delivery as 29th September.
If the main problem is the matrix lights, given I hardly ever drive at night I would be happy to swap them for some other addition eg a heat pump.

Just jumped on an order with Plan Leasing today for a Max Pro Performance in Moonstone Grey.

Got a pretty decent deal given current lease prices of life models all things considered!

Apparently pipeline orders with delivery expected around November. Going by this thread we shall see how it progresses

I’m talking with them as well on their deals, either for a Max or Tour, quite a steep broker fee but I guess they can charge it given how rare these things are right now!

I spoke to them earlier about a Tour model as I noticed even with the broker fee it would be considerably less than what I'll be paying for my Life model I have on order. Question is am I willing to give up the middle back seat that will only be used in very rare circumstances but be annoying that 1 time you need it? Need some steer on whether that's worth it for the upgrade in packs etc.
