I feel your frustration and I won't deal them again.
It could be on the boat right now for all we know...going by some of the posts on here.

When did you order? I wouldn’t cancel.
27th august 2021. Think it was a preorder at that point as well due to the earlier order number.

Very exciting news in that my id.3 is now built! How long does it typically take for the car to get to the dealers after finishing build?

It's great to see so much good news here compared to 3 months ago. It was such a depressing read during that period.

Sad news for us too, our Life was suppose to enter build this week, still showing status 10, so emailed head office who told us it’s slipped to Week 36 now that will take it out 12 months and the gov grant.

Don’t know who to believe anymore, head office say week 36, dealer says week 26 on the system, yet head office say dealer has the most up to date info.

I give up, getting to the end of my wits now, it’s a basic model, no chip hungry components, just a life with makena paint and 19 inch wheels. Why oh why can’t they get chips to build a life. Yet all the chip hungry cars that were ordered far later than ours (04/08/21) seem to be getting built.

Just don’t get it

I think I'll take these build weeks with a pinch of salt!
I am also from Status "00" on 06/06/22 to your order has been built awaiting shipment on 20/06/22. TBH, given that there are a few cases like this now, I would not worry about the build week you are told / given. One thing in common, is the September / October orders from last year are coming through now.
It’s just staggering, the disconnect between the dealer network, VW and the factories all giving different information.

Really pleased and encouraged that so many people are getting their cars built and delivered. Please keep sending pictures. Today my dealer has updated my status from week 37 to week 47, thus traversing the 12 month gov grant barrier. So please keep the unexpected delivery news coming!

@the.kes I'm also with Vertu Mansfield and they have in the past said not to worry about the Gov grant. I'll check with them again now my car's well into danger area.

My dealer said mine is built and waiting for the boat. They said it will be here by the end of July, though later in the call said 3 weeks. Delay might be hgv drivers to get it from the port to the dealer.

There seems to be a disproportionate number of Max's on the spreadsheet considering it is the least popular (sales) trim level.

Just got word that my tour5 (ROI) is built and awaiting shipping. That's from an order made in January and at the time they were predicting a build week of approx wk42 - wk46.

Nice! If it's anything like my Tour 5 (I'm picking up in a week), it'll be something like 4 to 6 weeks before its available for pickup. Another Irish member here had to wait a while for the car to get on the boat in Germany but mine seemed to get on the boat within a couple of weeks

Hi all,

First time posting here. Just wanted to say thanks to you all as it's been really helpful reading the posts during the frustration of the last few months.

It's also been great to see that a lot of cars are starting to come through and wanted to add my own experience to this.

My order had been sitting at status 10 week 42 for the last 6 months and then out of the blue, I received a call from the dealer who confirmed the car was built and on its way to the port in France.
The dealer thinks I'll have it by the end of the month.

My first EV lease ended last month and I've had to go back to a manual ICE car in the interim so can't wait for the ID3 to finally arrive.

Hopefully, many more folks get their cars delivered soon.

Cheers.

Just coming up to 9 months since ordered and our car has now been built and waiting to be shipped over!
Its only a few weeks since we got a provisional build week for the first time so still hope for others that it will suddenly progress quickly.
