Hi all. New to the forum. Interesting to read everyone’s experiences and the approximate timelines provided by the various dealers. The more I read, the more I’ve been managing my own expectations . Ordered a Max on 13 Sep (assumed Week 37?). The dealer provided a provisional build week of 51.

There is a lot of variation in build weeks. There’s not necessarily a correlation between when you order and the build week you get.

You’ll see from here that people that ordered at similar times have wildly different dates. It is mainly down to how many orders your particular dealer has been getting and how much allocation they have left in any particular month to put through new orders.

Hi all, new to the forum.

We ordered an ID3 life pure performance, with Drivers assistance pack plus in Makena Turquoise and 19” andoya wheels on 8th August, and so far our experience has been a nightmare.

We were told that would could expect delivery in November, Then our build was pushed to week 2 2022, and has now been pushed again to week 10 2022.

Have vented my frustration to VW uk with sod all difference, but my feeling is because it’s the pauper of the range, they are favoring the more expensive models.

Anyone else in the same boat ?

Sounds more like your dealer was being either naive or misleading.

I ordered a Life Pure Performance in July, sans options, and even back then I was told mid-to-late December.

My expectations were set for January at the least, tbh. Did it say November on the order form?

Think it was more of a hope than a promise, but my wife takes things litterally, ours not being produced now till end of March, so will probs be end of May/June till we get it, good thing is the dealership are going to honour the part ex value offered for our T-Roc, so the order form quote we had will remain valid

I've just seen some paperwork for the current lead times for VW's. Currently it is stating order an ID.3 this coming week and expect delivery week 15 2022.
The Tour is 2 weeks longer as also for the Life
So if dealers are telling you differently they need to check their own paperwork, not unless of course you have picked up on an existing order.

Newfie did your Tour actually go into build as promised? You’d hope it’s nearly done by now if so.

Yes it is in build and is currently stuck in build, why this is nobody knows? My dealer updated me with that yesterday. They just sit and monitor the status codes.
But going by what VW CS said last week that to expect the vehicle in build for up to 4 weeks. Then going by joshglova account their car sat in Emden for 2 weeks before being released to shipping. So its looking like week 46 for earliest delivery at current timings.

My car got stuck at build week stage for a while, I read news there was some factory shutdowns for a few days at the time due to component shortage. Had confirmation from dealer it’s in the UK now so shouldn’t be more than 2 weeks from now to collection.

Charge point was installed yesterday and there is no sign of when I will get the car.

My build week was moved to week 48 apparently and ordered end of July too. Didn't get my order number until 2 Aug though so must have gone into the aug quota

Build week 43 starts 25th October if I'm not mistaken, so I'm not sure why you'd expect to hear anything else.

Just ordered a Family pro performance at the start of the week and told there's a 24-26 week wait, so im looking at the end March 2022.

I'm in no rush and compared to other makes the waiting list isn't that bad imho.

Because it was a provisional build week. I would expect to hear it is confirmed.

The current delivery status of the trim is to expect week 15 2022 for delivery. That is from the dealerships official updates from VW.

VW Customer care told me due build wk 37. Then told me it was taking up to four weeks, perhaps quicker. Dealer tells me today 5 wks later not built yet awaiting micro chips and it’s the same for everyone! Ordered 12th July.

Hello Folks. New poster. Have been browsing the forum for a day or two and joined up today.

Ordered an id.3 Life 145ps on 28th August. Was told then that build would start in week 49 2021. In update received on 27th September, that hadn't changed. So, based on what I read in this thread, I imagine delivery will be well into 2022.

Not great, but I'm happy to wait provided the dealer honours the terms of the deal struck in August (e.g. will they haggle over the increased mileage on my trade-in vehicle?).

Anyone else had problems like that?
