Hahah! I was only saying to herself I'd love to end up with a 222 but I'd settle for a 1916 ;)

Wonder why no life’s are coming through? Surely they can be built at the same time as family spec?

I still can’t understand why I’ve no build week despite ordering in October.
And people who ordered after me have been allocated hold weeks?

ag, you're not alone! I'm thinking it will be mid November going off the trend in the dates.

I don't think that's accurate information regarding the motability E agreement, or I'd have my car just now.

It’s getting beyond a joke now, ordered 04/08 build week has been and gone, no update. Basic car, they keep giving the same bull about chips, Ukraine, Santa’s socks or whatever the next excuse will be….

Personally, I feel higher value Orders are being prioritized, basically F**k anyone who’s ordered a life because we make little profit.

I’m absolutely raging today, I’ve emailed Alex Davies ceo of Volkswagen UK because it is now a pisstake, in 3.5 weeks I’ll be at 12 months. Now potentially I’ll be waiting until 16/17 months for a basic car.

Absolutely pathetic, I hold no grudges against people getting their families early etc. rub of the green I suppose. But what is riling me, is we sold our T-Roc back to the dealer, as our build week had stayed static for 14 weeks. Now potentially my wife is without a car for all of school holidays, stuck with 2 kids. I asked about a loan car, shot down.

At the end !!!!!!

From what I'm seeing from posters here, their experiences, what dealers are saying including my own and from the spreadsheet. I think it's clear that lower spec/profitable cars (life) are lowest priority with the hope customers will cancel.

I’m in the same boat as you all here, ordered October and as of last week no build date. I’m really hoping it comes through before the grant expires.

Please could you add me to the build sheet.

Few updates for the tracker.
Unfortunately our original salesperson left the dealership earlier in the year so updates have been a bit less regular and harder to get!
Had to chase through the franchise director in the end.

Phone call on 10th June to say car was status 20 and expected "within 5 weeks".
Phone call today to say car has left factory, so guessing now status 30?

So I would guess build week was around 23/24 and it left the factory week 26/27.

Almost here though finally!

My dealer has informed me that my Family Pro Performance has moved from wk 40 to 34’ just waiting for confirmation if that is status 10 or 20 as we are in wk 27. Step in the right direction, he’s hoping for a September delivery.

What I mean is, why do most get allocated build weeks?
And others left at 00 ??
Lots of orders after mine have build weeks allocated almost straight away.
I’m left guessing.

It seems to be a lottery to be honest.

I ordered a Family Pro in Sep 21 and it's still not built. My order number is 314xxx and I can see folks here with order numbers 315xxx have already received theirs. Its bizarre how they work out which cars to build

My order has been on status 10 almost from the day it was asigned to me (was a July pre-order by my dealer). I've had build weeks of 6, 20,19,21,27,33 and am now when I last checked it had been bumped to week 40. Being status 10 doesn't really mean much. Mine's got an order number of 3136.... It seems staggering that cars of the same spec as mine with orders beginning with 315 that were ordered a couple of months after mine have been delivered. There really doesn't seem to be any fair system for building the cars.

The only saving grace for me is that I have my 1st Edition and can live with the faults until my replacement car arrives. I've done a deal on the price for the replacement which was a small amount and paid in full. With the production picking up hopefully the date will come forward avoiding the akward conversation if it goes over the 12 months for the £2500 government grant. Still I'm putting miles on a car I've effectively sold to the dealership that's depreciating at their expense.

Hopefully we'll all get our cars soon. It's frustrating for us all.

Out of curiosity has anyone yet actually waited longer than 12 months??

I've been taking a break from the thread every so often for my own sanity and super chuffed for people getting their orders come through.

As annoying as it is it's clear as day they are doing russian roulette at the factories genuinely don't think the dealerships or the lease companies have a scooby what the craic is untill they get a call to say the shipment is on the way

Ordered in October and im reservedly not expecting to hear anything before mid August going by the tracker but curious to know if anyone has actually breached a year of waiting... I know some are close

Welcome surprise from the dealer that the car is built and ready for delivery next week (Life pro performance ordered end of Sept ‘21 with, until recently, an estimated build week of mid October ‘22). Delivery scheduled for 14 July - will be 9.5 months since ordered. The news came completely out of the blue but was very welcome!

Couple of points to note as a business buyer:
- the VW hire purchase cannot be paid off early like it can with an individual buyer (this came as a surprise to the dealer as well but the small print was clear on that point); and
- the VW pay up front service that was advertised as coving a service, MOT (which will be 3 years after delivery and well after the first service) and other bits and pieces - The small print there stated the plan expired after the first service! Not sure what that would have meant for the items due to come after the first service but naturally I declined to take up VW’s offer where there was such a glaring inconsistency between what was advertised and the technical terms.

Looking forward to the car and hoping it lives up to expectations.

Don't think so. Earliest order date for unbuilt cars on the tracker has moved to the end of July.

Although @mustafam11 looks to be picking theirs up over a year after order. Don't know what they have been told.

Then there is @big277wave who mentioned they picked up a pre order from July but guess it will depend on when the grant was applied for.
