If you can avoid using We Charge,do so.Their Charges are exhorbitant.Tgere are better options out there.
Be grateful to know what those options are. The EV charging market is also as big a mess as the pay by phone market. No, it’s a bigger mess.
The best option unless you want to save money on high miles or/and use Ionity is just to pay by contactless card/Google pay etc everywhere. That's both easiest and most reliable. If you want to use Ionity for a better price it's probably worth using wecharge, or for occasional use, Bonnet.

As many have noticed, VW are getting better recently at build times.
Has anyone got a feeling whether this speed up also applies to ID3 Family variants? I see there was talk of the Matrix headlights delaying all non life cars because of the chip shortages in May so I wonder if all the speed up is mainly life cars they can build quickly.
I do know that VW stated they thought the chip shortage would ease in the later part of 2022, though reading yesterday it seems that is based on VW being optimistic that conditions in Ukraine and China improve.
I don't buy this speculation on matrix headlights. My family model just recently went from status 00 to confirmed build week for this coming week. There's quite a few other reports on here of family models suddenly popping up for delivery. If there's been a problem with matrix lights, evidence suggests it's been resolved.

Allow 6 weeks for build and 6 weeks for shipping/delivery, so ~3 months from confirmed build week.

It may come sooner or later, but these are useful averages.

As many have noticed, VW are getting better recently at build times.
I would definitely say they're getting better at build times. My Cupra Born was status 20 for week 23 and status 30 a few days ago (week 24)

I think dealers just throw various components out there as reasons for delay in production, sometimes it will get said to a reporter somewhere and that report is then used as evidence for supporting the claim.

At this point, all I'm comfortable saying is VW have serious issues with production and/or supply lines. Beyond that, it's all pure speculation.

I genuinely believe if dealers were allowed to slap & spit on customers, Heritage Bristol would take the crown.

I went in to drop my car for a service and saw my sales person sat at his desk. I asked to speak to him to ask about the ID3 which at this point had been delayed by 4 months. Rather than shout across the room, the receptionist rings him (we can all se him), he answers, looks at us, says yup "of course, coming" and literally went and hid somewhere in the building. Everyone was looking for him for 20 minutes but I had to leave and go back to work. Quite bizarre!

Sent him an email later saying "hey, I just wanted to ask about the order but couldn't keep waiting and nobody knew where you were. Any news?" -still waiting for my reply and this was in March!
When did you order your car. Ours was late oct 21.
30 Sep 2021 and got my order number a few days later. I can see other people here who ordered a Family at the same time have received theirs!
It feels like the cars are built on a lottery system

One tip that has been mentioned before but worth saying again - check the tyre pressures. Looked at mine this morning and they were 10 bar over the recommendation!
I hope they weren't! PSI? ;)
Oh yeah, oops :D

Yes seems to be a lottery. Never got a build week or order number !
Due to the lack of communication I don’t think they really know !

out of interest is that pro or pro performance, with similar order dates all the current updates seem to be for pro performance so it will be good to see any 150 pros being built to bring hope to my order.
I've ordered Volkswagen ID.3 5 Door 145PS Family Pro Auto, this was last Aug and originally due last Dec but kept getting delays

I got a call back for a test drive of a Polestar that I requested about 4 months ago and took one out for a drive today. Have to say, while it was a nice car, I so much happier to be collecting the ID3 soon rather than a Polestar, the ID3 is so much more of a practical car.

Looks like my estimated build has slipped to week 41, which is the middle of October. Transport loans people will honour my application but need a signed, company headed doc for the dealer.

Still holding out hope that it will be moved up like some of you guys!

It's brutal. The only bit of hope I'm clinging on to is that no one (on here anyway) has waited over a year, so fingers crossed I hear something positive soon. Won't hold my breath though.

Hey. Is that the EST loan in Scotland? I asked for an extension mid march as that's when the 4 month limit was and they extended till end of September but the email sounded like it was as far as they were planning to push things. Be good to hear if they are open to extending past that point as that would reduce my anxiety slightly.

Soooooo……

Our life Pro is suppose to commence build week 26, next Monday. Our dealer has sent me a screenshot still showing status 10 only a week out. Is anyone else in the same boat ??

Lots of people on the Facebook groups being phoned by dealers to say cars are at the port but system still showing 00, also lots of orders jumping straight from status 10 to 30, all seems a bit fubarred atm

It's going to take a while for the computer systems to stabilise now the factory is operating at full capacity, hopefully lots more of us should see cars arriving quicker.

I have an order number of 8810944 placed on the 09.02.22
From what I've seen, tracking numbers are 8 digits and start with a 3...?
Can anybody help with this / add me to the online tracker Or know who I can message to do this?

That's a dealer order number (I also had one). Ask your dealer for the VW order/commission number too.
