I was very pleased moonstone grey was the default/budget option. It’s the colour I’d have chosen.

Though I’d say VW have been very conservative/dull with the available colours!! Wonder why - there’s plenty of options in the VW palette across the range.

Perhaps saving it for a paid software upgrade option 😂

Stonewash Blue seems to be the rarest of all, based on photos I see posted in forums and Facebook groups, plus I’ve yet to see one out on the road.

Mine is Moonstone Grey, I think the car looks best in Glacier White though.

How strange. We have loads of ID.3's round here (perhaps I'm noticing them more now I have one on order? :D ) and the vast majority are metallic blue or white.

Our dealer had all the colours available to look at ato be honest we weren’t impressed with any of them. In the end we chose stonewashed blue as the one we could live with. This is the colour I wish they had available.

Moonstone grey I love it, but also understand its marmite colour. Would have paid for it if it was free

Far too many grey cars on the road. :) My wife wanted turquoise but we didn't want to wait four months to get it. There was a stonewashed blue available immediately ex stock and we actually preferred it when we saw it. (Don't tell my wife I said so, but it looks quite like grey.)

Ours here, wash it every weekend and polish with “wet wax”, keeps clean despite all the dust around here.

I my choice was between Turquoise and Stonewashed Blue. My 8 year old daughter chose the Stonewashed Blue.
It kind of reminds me of the old Nissan Almera Ice Blue.

Never seen the Stonewashed Blue in person though.

We were deciding between stonewashed blue and turquoise. We were set on stonewashed blue until we saw it in person and it looked lost among all the grey cars.

We have ordered a Makena Turquoise. None of the others are bright enough, I like to have cars with lots of colour. If the red was available in the UK I'd have liked that, but my wife loves turquoise so it's probably a good thing it wasn't :)

Stonewashed Blue for us.
ID3 does look good in White I have to say. But as a recent previous car was a white one decided on the blue. Turquoise was considered, but as both wife and daughter thought it is was a “late life crisis” colour for someone who’s just got their bus pass!

Red. We would have ordered red if they had it. It was then a negotiation with my partner:

– Let's have the Makena Turquoise, it's the next best cheerful choice.
– I see the appeal, but I think it's the wrong kind of cheerful.
– What do you mean?!
– I mean I don't like it.
– White then, look how it contrasts nicely with the black roof of the ID.3!
– True! Nice when it's clean, but white shows the dust too easily.
– No it doesn't. I had a white car a long time ago, it was fine.
– That's because you don't mind driving a dusty car. Are you going to wash this car every week?
– All right, what colour do fancy then?
– Hmm. I wish they had it in red.
– We've gone through that already.
– This Moonstone Grey is cheaper, might as well.
– No! That's so rainy day grey. It's depressing. No.
– Manganese Grey?
– You mean black? Like a hearse. If you're thinking grey or black, I'd rather have Scale Silver.
– No, silver it too boring.
– Well, there's only one colour left, Stonewashed Blue.
– You realise that's just a shade of grey, right? "Washedblue Stone Grey" is more like it.

And so we ordered Compromise Stonewashed Blue.

We went Stonewashed Blue as we seem to be having a blue phase at the moment and it wasn’t grey or silver, but when we picked it up It did look a little muted next to the silver in particular, but we’re happy enough and people generally compliment the colour

We got white as the contrast with the black back was quite nice, and we like white generally
Would have been nice to have a real black, dark silver and a navy or royal blue to choose from as well!!
