OTA Software Release v2.3

Does anyone have an idea when the v2.3 will be released for the rest of the ID3 population, non first movers that is? I guess ‘general release’ is the phrase I am looking for!

Just to be clear, when it is “announced”, can I expect the OTA update it to turn up at some point as an option on my 10” screen when I shut the car down?

Yes you will get an update available option on the Goodbye screen.

To answer an earlier poster we think general release is coming soon, a problem we have is that VW is not that forthcoming on rollout plans apart from initially saying general release was in September (they have been running behind their schedule)

I was driving three weeks ago and got a message saying update available, pressed yes, then nothing until another message saying update completed. But, nothing on the system says what was updated and the software is still 0792, as it was before. The software update history is empty. Not too concerned, just be nice to know.

You'll know when it's 2.3, that wasn't it.

There's a "part 1" which temporarily disables some of the assist systems (you get warnings on-screen), then a "part 2" which is larger - only when both parts are installed does the version increment to 0910.
