Answering an incoming call

Hope someone can help me how do I answer an incoming call,I’ve tried the OK button without success! I’m using an IPhone is there any specific settings I need to do on my phone?
Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Using CarPlay it’s the green button for me. Iphone 12 using latest iOS

Mine usually shows a green and red touch button screen, so green answers the call. But - often, as the call progresses, that green/red button screen changes to the main screen, so when the call is finished, I can't hang up the call. Relies on the other caller ending the call.

If you go to "Phone" and select dialpad you have the option to hang up there.

Or press the phone icon that appears above the clock, that should bring the phone screen back?
