The small VW cable I got with the car Sat, one end plugs into my android phone, but the other end won't go into the cars points/holes in the consul.
Is this the cable to charge your phone? Or do I need to buy a different one?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Here's a pic of cable.
Seems they gave you an Apple cable, with USB-C on one end (to go in the car) and the Lightning connector on the other end (to go in the phone)
You need a USB-C to USB-C cable if the socket on your phone looks the same as the ones in the car.
Ask your dealer to swap it for you - they usually give the customer a choice of the USB-C / Lightning cable or a USB-C / USB-C cable.

The bigger connection of the cable fits my phone, it's the smaller one. Just tried that end in my daughter's iPhone and it fits so yes, they have given me the wrong cable. Thanks everyone.

"bigger" = USB-C
"smaller" = Lightning
So you need a USB-C to USB-C cable given that your phone has a USB-C socket and the ones in the car are USB-C as well.
