I thought ID.3s only needed servicing every 2 years, anybody know why it needs servicing after 10 months.

I just received email an email from my VW dealer "Important Service Reminder" - "Your vehicle, ID70FRE is due its scheduled service and our highly qualified manufacturer trained technicians are ready to take care of everything for you."

Touting for business?
We got an email from our dealer (had the car 2 months) trying to coerce us to change our vehicle.
I would suggest that most of these types of email are computer/database generated.

Service is a confused and not clear

Having spoken to a number if dealers and VW direct using chassis number I was advised that the service is 2 years or 20k

There are many including my local vw workshop manager who feel it’s 2 years with unlimited mileage

I had ours done as it was a free service (due to time off road with faults!)

Good luck trying to work it out!!

My dealer tried the same trick at 10 months , pointed out that the brochure said 2 years and I've heard nothing since

It's two years fixed. That's according to the VW service manual.

At two years the pollen filter, brake fluid are changed and the brakes and various other chassis checks are made.

The car will display a warning when it needs a service.

You can download the complete service manual from here if you are interested in what gets done (or should get done...)
