You should always use your right foot. If you start to use your left, you may leave it on the peddle and apply the breaks ever so gently making your break lights come on. And who wants to have the break on whilst your right foot is accelerating?

Same as driving an automatic. Park your left foot on the footrest provided to the left side of the wheel well and leave it there. We haven't had a manual gear change at home for 4 years now but I can understand the question if you are coming from a manual.

I'd suggest that if there is any possibility of driving a three-pedal vehicle in the future (eg holiday hire cars) it makes sense to use right foot only. Having years of three-pedal driving, my left foot still twitches in some situations - I created an unintended emergency stop while parking at the end of a test drive, as my left foot thought I ought to be easing off the clutch since the no-right-foot pressure-anywhere creep speed was a bit high. With a bit of mileage now having had a go at retracking the neurons, things are fine (and the I find the ID3's feet-off-pedals creep speed nicely judged).
I've had Toyota Prius cars since 2007 and definitely would recommend using right foot for both pedals. Rest your left foot on the foot rest provided.
