You're not, sadly there are many freeloaders who treat free chargers as if they own them.

If you’re not shopping at the time that’s exactly what it is.

I just don't see the point of slow chargers in locations where you're only expecting to be there an hour. 50kW chargers at supermarkets make more sense to me. I vouldn't be bothered to dig out my cable for 15-25 miles of charge.

Well from a 80% charge max I was getting was 202miles late summer.

Nowadays I get more like 160 miles from 80% charge.

However there are many variables that affect mileage.

How you drive.
Temperature outside
Where you drive example, motorway or town etc.

The way I treat range anxiety is just know whatever the conditions I know I will get at least 150 miles for 80% charge. That way you can plan longer journeys etc knowing what public charter you need to stop at etc

I don't recall anyone actually getting stated wltp miles

That is why the 7kw are rarely used, and why I use them my local Tesco has no parking restrictions and it's a 10min walk home so I charge it for few hours 5-6 hours when my battery is under 15% so charge to 80% . I use it early morning when the store isn't busy and the chargers are always available even at busy times

Yep, that’s freeloading.

I have often seen a range of 280-290 miles but in practice my longest run from 100% has been 211 miles with 44 remaining. I cant remember for sure but think the battery was down to 16%.

Yesterday was pretty cold by us here, and we're technically in the south of England. This is pretty much exactly why I specified the Tour, for as much "insulation" during winter as possible.

That's a significant drop off if you were sat at 55mph. I sometimes find average speed a bit misleading - you can spend 2 hours sat at 70, an hour in almost gridlock doing 10 miles and then you have an average of 50mph - but you'll never recover the car's high consumption for those first 2 hours. Were you doing 70mph for most of it but averaged 50-55, or is that what you were doing most of the time? You got about 3.5 miles per kWh. If I were sat at 55mph, I'd expect about 4.4 mikes per kWh in the Summer.

What was the ambient temp and what heating were you doing in the cabin?

I took it easy - so 65 on motorway and dual carriage way odd bits of 70. 50-55 was the trip computers average.. little bit of town and some 40 sections on the dual carriageway. Cabin at 18 degrees... about 11 outside.. Way back was a night - and I stuck to 60 wanting to eek it out.

Yes - had hoped it would be a bit more TBH. It was along a route without any great charging options (the odd rapid) otherwise I'd have gone for a one stop strategy :) and gone a bit faster!

I did my first decent run last week - A1(M) M62 M1 A19 - so I charged to 100%, just prior to setting off, and sat in with the wagons to see what kind of range I could get.

205 Miles
4:30 Hrs
46 mph average
4.5 mi/kWh
Indicated 67 miles remaining.

It was more than I'd anticipated and pretty impressive, I thought.

Looking at the 4.5 miles per kWh figure, there's about 50kWh used in 205 miles - it'll be the 58kWh battery.

4.5 is very good for this time of year. Though you did say you were β€˜Sat with the wagons’ - so fair enough.

3.5 for me - 65-70 usually following someone at 2-3 bars distance (as it’s easier with ACC).
