Sports Suspension?

Does anyone know if the Sports Suspension pack is stiffened & lower or just stiffer than standard? On all my previous VAG cars with this option (Golf4, Leon, Passat, Golf7) it has been lowered over standard by around 25-30mm, with thicker Anti-Roll bars as well.

Given I drive a slammed ‘73 Beetle at the moment it wouldn’t be the done thing to be riding around at standard height.

There’s an ID3 Eibach kit which drops it 25mm and an H&R set which drops it 40fr/30rr - Anyone used either?

Not that I’m necessarily after this level of drop, but I’m liking this stance on 21” rims 😁

Don’t know the answer to your question and ours is a standard spec car, but I did see a YouTube video, UK based, where they modified an ID.3 cosmetically and also dropped ride height and put new rims on it. Review was favourable, sportier drive without ruining the ride.

No idea Moog. I have always put changes off like this because of the warranty.

I've been pondering this question myself. Like you, I've always have performance Golfs which have always had lower suspension from the factory.

I guess one question would be whether short springs work with DCC.

I saw this image on Instagram, and I'm sure the car is lower than standard.

I nearly ordered the Sports Pack at the time, but couldn't understand quite what it included, other than "Sport suspension"

Adaptive dampers mainly.

Kind of confusing, though, as the 'Sports Pack' was only applicable to Life, Style, and Family - not available for Max or Tour.

The 'Plus' pack didn't have anything to say the DCC included the 'Sport suspension', but was standard on the Max - but not the Tour.

So hard to tell if the Max already has it, or if DCC completely supersedes it

I think DCC with Sport Pack Plus completely supersedes Sports Suspension. I see both packs are now available on the Tour.

I'd be willing to bet Sports Suspension is simply a stiffer damper, whereas DCC is obviously an adaptive damper.

Not on the normal Sports Pack I believe. Seems like adaptive dampers only on Sports Pack Plus (DCC).

Thinking of ordering mine with Sports Pack Plus, anyone else got this? Wondering what the adaptive dampers are like.

Sorry, I should have clarified that DCC is on the Sport Pack Plus. I've never driven an ID.3 with DCC, only a 1st Edition. I've specced DCC on Golfs, and always thought it was worthwhile, however the big difference is those cars have always been on big wheels/thin rubber. Even with 19s, the ID.3 has fairly chunky sidewalled tyres, and for me the ride is fine. Saying that, my ID.3 will have DCC as it's a Max.

I seem to remember Battery Life has covered this in one or more of his videos and is a big fan.
