Just ordering an OHME charger and filling out their forms for OZEV grant application and it asks for Order No, would anyone know if this is the Order number from my dealer or my VW Order No that was assigned when accepted by factory? Thanks!
Original order : ID.3 Family 58kWh Pro Performance. *Cancelled*
Subsequent order: Polestar 2 pre-config *cancelled*

I used my dealer order ID that began with 8, I later thought this might have been wrong, but it didn't seem to cause any problems. I don't think they were very switched on about it to be honest - they didn't even get around to claiming the grant back until 2 months after the install. They came to me at that time with a form full of errors to sign, I ended up sending them away to try again twice. I assume they were successful in claiming it back after I eventually signed it, as I haven't heard from them again.
(The installers Ohme put me in contact with were The Car Charge People, who were otherwise competent and were always friendly.)

Thanks, I’ve supplied the dealer Order Id for now, wasn’t prepared for all the questions they asked me when applying!

I don’t think it matters so long as you have some sort of proof of order… which you’ll get too later on in your application. At some point you’ll have to upload proof of an order and then you’ll be questioning the same thing againcamsoft2000 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 16, 2021 8:04 pm Just ordering an OHME charger and filling out their forms for OZEV grant application and it asks for Order No, would anyone know if this is the Order number from my dealer or my VW Order No that was assigned when accepted by factory? Yer the Ohme application process had a lot of repetition in it!
My favourite bit was where it asked me - twice - to upload a plan showing the proposed cable route. This was a bit of a pain to sketch accurately as it was over two levels but I did it, then when I actually first spoke to the installer, they just told me to send them a video of the location and cable route via WhatsApp That was far more sensible.
To be fair they let me off with a standard install charge despite having to drill through two internal walls as well as the external one, so no complaints.

Just surprised that they wouldn’t just visit the property and then quote accordingly. I did a rough sketch but I’m not an architect and I also don’t know what is the best way to route the cable. I’m hoping there will be more support later on in the order process.

No visit to me either for an Ohme installation, just photographs. I accepted their quote and have installation scheduled for Jan 4th.
id.3 Family Pro Performance ordered 8/11/21, build week 17, then 23 then 40, then 45, then 50, then delivery expected in January, 2023, picked up the car on January 16th. Yay!

I went with Ohme. The installer said that plans etc are only really an indication of scale, most properties older than a few years need a site visit. He took video before quoting. On install found an issue with grounding that required some remedial work, but all done on the day. Increased the bill marginally, and job done in about 6 hours.

Just been quoted for the OHME Home Pro £1031 by OHME installer SRG electrical with the grant is £681. This is based on a standard installation not needing any additional work.
Does this seem reasonable, OHME advertise the installed post-grant from price as £550 so not sure why if this is a standard install it wouldn't be £550.
Breakdown:
OZEV Grant - 3 Years Warranty Parts and Labour
Ohme Home Pro Tethered + Labour £784.17
Electrical Materials £20.00
Type A RCD £25.00
Trunking £30.00
Sub Total £859.17
VAT £171.83
Total Client Contribution £1,031.00
Minus OLEV Grant - £350.00
Total to Pay £681.00

I don't have my invoice to hand, but I paid approx £690 including the extra work. I would query the base cost of the charger, and why that is significantly more than the Ohme "from" cost. There maybe a differential for tethered, but even so, I think it worth an ask.

When I ordered I think the £550 'from' advertised price was for the original Ohme rather than the Home Pro? (Edit - ignore - I can see on the website this is no longer true)
I was also quoted more than the 'from' price but only by £50 so didn't challenge it. I'd say it's worth your questioning a £680 price to see if you can get anything knocked off. However, the £550 isn't any sort of real price, it's just marketing from Ohme (with whom you aren't actually entering any sort of contract) so if they refuse to budge there isn't anything you can do about it. It might just be that electricians are more in demand in your area at the moment so they are charging higher labour rates?

The price I have been quoted is £568 after the grant of £350 has been deducted. I'll find out the actual cost on January 4th when they come out to do the install.

I was quoted £590 after the grant for an Ohme home pro. But I have a fairly new new house and the meter box is quite close to where I want the charger.
