Hi
Watched the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4R1VdcS14bU&t=785s and read the attached link here https://www.dr.dk/nyheder/penge/kontant ... limaboeder
If its true it explains why owners have had so many problems with their ID.3s
Knowing what VW is capable of, remember diesel gate and emissions tests on monkeys...........it could be true!
Volkswagen sent unfinished electric car on the street and saved billions in climate fines from the EU
I've not seen their videos but just reading the titles and the sensationalist language, they come across very fanboy-ish to me. So I wouldn't take a word of that as face value.
Nevermind the fact that Tesla have shipped unfinished Model 3s (no wireless charging etc) - and I say that as a big Tesla fan myself.

15 minute opinion ramblings from “some bloke on the Internet with a YouTube account” really shouldn’t be amplified or taken as having any kind of factual or experiential basis.

classic youtube sensationalisation with a massively click-bait title, after all, controversial topics/opinions drive engagement.

"Unfinished" is hyperbolic at best, and clickbait at worst.
It's hardly like there were doors missing or components unfitted. The 'unfinished' phrase should be interpreted as 'unrefined', but that's been the case for basically every car ever built. The first ones are never truly refined because the testing they do pre-prod is basically never indicative of real-life usage.
I could name hundreds of models from various makes that had fixes, recalls, or component redesigns after their first year of production due to being, basically, useless or severely impaired.

And here's one from today for models which are over a year old:sausageroll wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 12:33 pm I could name hundreds of models from various makes that had fixes, recalls, or component redesigns after their first year of production due to being, basically, useless or severely impaired.

I'm glad that Tesla have pointed out that the sudden opening of the front trunk may increase the likelihood of a crash. I'd never have guessed otherwise.

And that's likely to only be a recall because there's 400k+ affected and a safety issue.hungerdunger wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 8:31 pmAnd here's one from today for models which are over a year old:sausageroll wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 12:33 pm I could name hundreds of models from various makes that had fixes, recalls, or component redesigns after their first year of production due to being, basically, useless or severely impaired.

Many cars are just tolerated as a bit crap/flawed so long as it doesn't hurt anyone. The R50 MINI (first 'new' shape) did, after all, go several years with spontaneous PAS failure, and they only really took notice when Richard E Grant piped up about it
