Not using car as much...
mainly due to Covid. Not going out much at the moment unless absolutely necessary (whatever Johnson says). My question is, what to look out for when leaving the car for best part of a week, most weeks. Is it detrimental to the 12V battery, for instance? Any views anyone?
A week between uses isn’t anything that would spur me to do anything different much. It is, after all, only about the same amount of time you’d leave it in a car park when flying for a week’s family holiday out of the country. Which I believe was a thing only a year or two ago
If it were me I’d make sure it’s plugged in to a home charger and able to charge as usual during the week, but that’s about it. And that’s purely based on the assumption that if the 12V battery starts losing charge it will be topped up from the traction battery, which might be a wrong assumption if the car isn’t started!

You might like to check under the bonnet occasionally in case the squirrels have been active!

Is that one of those old fashioned “engines”? How quaint.hungerdunger wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 8:39 pm You might like to check under the bonnet occasionally in case the squirrels have been active!

That’s a Mini Electric, unless I’m mistaken. So no old-fashioned “engine” there
I wonder whether the squirrel likes snuggling up to the nice warm inverter. He certainly likes his nuts…

Must admit I have been worried about cats going to sleep under the car and not realising its about to move because there's no engine noise...
I’m on the side of the tweety birds in that particular equation. Cats can do one
