Headlights message

Not sure if this has been posted before but is this message right.
The way I read it is the lights are adjusted for driving on the right hand side of road.
If so its set up wrong. Within the setting it is set to left hand.

I get that message every time as well but my headlights are set up correctly and I've never had anyone flash me to say they're being dazzled

The confusing wording has been brought up before. I think the end result was that it means you are “driving on the right” side of the car - ie right hand drive. Probably something lost in translation!

My dealer was interested in following this up.
Apparently VW are fully aware of this misleading message but have assured the headlights are correctly set.
The issue of this message will be addressed in update 3.0.
This was VW technical answer to dealer.

This also neatly proves that the correct setting is “left-hand” not “right-hand” for the UK. Looks like a straightforward software display bug to me.
I’d be interested if having done the steps above (select right hand then select left hand again) whether the annoying message disappears even if the visual display of the switch shows “wrong”.
