Small screen percentage

Spotted this in a post for the ID Buzz…

I really hope showing the battery percentage will come sooner than later for the ID.3….. huge bugbear of mine.

I think this is coming in software 3.0? It was certainly in the ID.5 video that Battery Life did with that software.

Yes. Which I think means it's coming 'later' rather than 'sooner' to the ID.3 given that unless you have 3.0 'factory-fit' there is a dealer recall for a new battery and an OTA-updatable module, followed by an OTA update sometime after that.

And don't forget the 2.3 OTA campaign hasn't finished yet, there are still plenty of people waiting for 2.3 to OTA to them if various forum posts here and on SpeakEV are to be believed.

Hazy memory but don’t you get percentage and GOM when you get below 10%?

I think you get percentage showing at 20% along with the low battery warning. If you are that bothered about percentage showing leave the charge screen on in the main screen.

You certainly get the percentage below 10%, not sure about below 20%.

And I'm still waiting for 2.3 too. Lots of front assist errors and such the other day, but they've all gone and no update has appeared, so who knows!

I tend to use the vehicle information screen then select the charging icon and that shows the percentage right there on the screen if you want to know what your percentage is

I know this is not on the small screen behind the steering wheel but at least you get a view of it.

There’s a dealer recall? I wasn’t aware of that.

It’s supposed to happen Q1 2022. Most likely Q2 or later the rate things are (not) moving. Enables more OTA updates, changes in battery heating cut in temps and IIRC faster charging (125kw) for 58kwh models. Maybe. Hopefully. Possibly etc..

The latest update to WE connect ID enables you to place a widget on the Home Screen of an iPhone showing percentage and battery power.

Yes - though the widget that comes with the ‘pump’ app also tells you rather nicely what time your charge will end.

If you have an Apple Watch, TRONITY will place a small widget on screen showing percentage.
