Interesting report, but they key point is that PHEV becomes cheaper per mile above 100k miles. Below that EV is significantly cheaper. Don't know about you , but I am very unlikely to keep the car to 100k miles......so its all a bit theoretical!
This is the business part of the report - annoyingly it doesn't explain what the notes are, but I will assume that is replacement battery........

My current daily car does around 26mpg (UK) and fuel costs at least 164.9p per litre. It's a 2008 2.8 v6 turbo that requires 98RON or above.Gwyver wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 3:55 pm As previous replies show, there's a wide spread of costs experienced by car owners so each person's milage cost comparisons may be very different:
Here are a couple of tables which show a range of milage costs.

I haven't included the high Pence/KWH of some Super Fast Chargers because I assume for the majority of BEV owners the use of these will be an exception rather than the norm.
Similarly I haven't included the very low Octopus Go tariff because for these users the higher cost of their normal tariff will partially offset the EV charging cost.
My current electricity tariff could probably triple and the ID. 3 that I'm waiting on will still make sense, especially factoring in servicing and repairs for 15000 miles a year.
