miles/kWh
May I please ask for some rough indications of range as I am going to embark on my first longish motorway trip.
My ID.3 has the 45kw battery.
My driving style is conservative and y long term stats indicate 4.7 miles/kWh.
I fully appreciate that turning on air con etc will diminish the range.
However, assuming I don't use air con/heater and drive at say a steady 70 mph what is the realistic range of my car?
Thank you
Grant

This is what I love about the forum. There's just about an answer to every question asked. I don't even have my car yet and I've learned a boat load of info about it. So if I have any problems when i eventually get the car, this place will have the answers.
Excellent work guys!

I regularly do a Manchester to Hull commute. 110 miles door to door each way.
On the 58kwh battery in Summer I could probably just squeak in the round trip on a 100% charge (not tried).
In winter it takes c.70% if it’s cold, wet, a headwind and I’m in a bit of a hurry. Usually it’s 60% (I can charge for free when I’m there). That covers from 3 to 3.8m/kWh I think!

Happy to help - what usually happens (to me) is that I end up driving at 70-75 then about half way realise I may be tight to the charger/destination - so slow down to 60 and get there with plenty left!!
Imho THE biggest lack of info on the ID3’s displays is the predicted SOC on arrival… this would be so so useful and stop me having to figure it out as I drive or use ABRP with an OBD dongle…

I think(!) Battery Life showed this was going to be indicated in the nav with 3.0. Inc predicted SoC on arrival at a scheduled charging stop. Obviously only if you are using the in-car nav.MotMot wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 1:34 pm Happy to help - what usually happens (to me) is that I end up driving at 70-75 then about half way realise I may be tight to the charger/destination - so slow down to 60 and get there with plenty left!!

Perhaps someone with 3.0 could test it out?

Usually steer clear of the MSA's for that very reason. Very rarely have I pulled straight up to a free MSA connector.
