My problem was (I think) that I had both keys with me in the car at the time, and I think that must have confused it. When I tried it with just the one key with me, it worked absolutely perfectly.
ID.3 Arriving tomorrow, but I have no idea what it will be!
ID.3 Family Pro Performance (Jun 22), Moonshot Gray / MY22.5 S/W 3.0 . Easee One Charger (16th June).
That is suspicious to me as October/November would be MY23, and all the MY23 cars (based on what people have said here and by my dealer) have been reset to status 00 (no date set).marknorton1 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 2:08 pm Sorry, yes I meant this year so October November 2022 delivery, not built as yet.
I'm not saying it's wrong, but I am saying that there are enough undelivered ~wk40 2021 tours out there that I'd ask them to re-check that year.

Do you think it’s conceivable then that they would still build an older 22 spec car even at week 40 then assuming that week confirmed rather than a 22.5?

Depends how much of it they built! It’s possible (I have no idea in trith) that they build most of the car bar a component or two (eg matrix lights) then stored them until the part was ready? Though not sure that’s how a modern just in time production line operates.

From memory they would usually only pull a car from the production line as a last resort and then store but of course these are strange times and I’m going back years to when I visited numerous Audi production lines.

To pose the question then, which model would/have others opted for based on the Max vs Tour option, both standard models with various metallic choices. The 4 seat option doesn’t concern us much and it would be on a lease so residual value isn’t our issue. Like the idea of the pan roof on the max but struggling to come to terms with the bin lids, the tour of course has the nice wheels, gains distance but looses the pan roof…

I've ordered the Max with East Derry wheel option.marknorton1 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 4:54 pm To pose the question then, which model would/have others opted for based on the Max vs Tour option, both standard models with various metallic choices. These are not amendable so I’m advised which I find strange if the build week isn’t fixed but then I guess both the Max and Tour have been pulled from ordering so that might explain the lack of ability to amend.

Honestly Mark, after using my dads family pro performance for trips I would take the Tour over the Max any day, first up going from essex to cambridge in winter gave us severe range anxiety, the tour would solve this.
The tour has all the same features as the max bar the pan roof, but ive used it on the family and your not missing much, you sit too far forward as a driver to notice it, and youll most likely have it closed most of the time because the sun gets bloody annoying coming straight down, also remember it doesnt open like a normal sun roof, its a glass roof only.
Also we have east derrys on ours and I definitely think they make a much better looking car than the bin lids!

Cheers for that info, I wasn’t aware the roof didn’t open, I know a lot of pan roofs offer only a tilt function but clearly not in this case. I liked the idea of it mainly for my young daughters I guess but i suspect it has more drawbacks than anything, plus bin lids

I think the pan roof is great, it makes the car feel bigger. My kids in the back definitely like it too. The biggest bonus of the Family for me.marknorton1 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 9:47 pm Cheers for that info, I wasn’t aware the roof didn’t open, I know a lot of pan roofs offer only a tilt function but clearly not in this case. Range anxiety isn't a thing for me either. I'd only recommend a Tour for someone with really regular longish journeys on which it could help them avoid any en-route charging at all. A 58 is perfectly good enough for driving long distances around England now.
Just a different perspective

interesting on the VIN. My 1st edition is an ‘M’ but is definitely a 2020 car…
Kia Niro EV3 in pearl white.
I've seen a video of the Tour that I'm picking up this month and it has an 'N' in the VIN for 2022 but it's definitely a MY22 and on version 2.3
