Yeah to be fair I’m happy with Stonewashed blue so not concerned now, so all good.

I log into my Plan account every now and again but still looks the same and just says last updated 01/07/22.

I’ll be happy with the 22.5 spec naturally, if we end up with a MY23 that includes a 12” screen then that would be the cherry on the top.

With some people being pushed to next year I decided to chase for an update this morning. It was a non update basically:

"Your ID.3 has not been issued a confirmed build date yet. This is very normal for VW as this will not be issued until closer to the time."

Think it’s probably the same for all of us, originally was told a build week 41 but I suspect that’s probably slipped, my account with Plan suggests it’s not been updated since 01/07/2022 but there’s no mention of build weeks on that anyway and still says end oct delivery.

They don't seem to even have an estimate for mime, so perhaps consider yourself lucky with that October date. I was originally told November but it's been very vague since.

Just a question to all my Plan leasing order buddies, with regards to this Government Grant situation, given that the most of us confirmed our orders April/May eariler this year, do you think our 12 month window for this grant would start from that point, given that's when the car should have been tagged to us the buying customer at the dealer who ordered it that is?

Hi, I'm not a plan car leasing buddy, but for info since December 21 no ID3s have been eligible for the grant as from that date it only applied to new orders of cars with rrp<£32k. So if you ordered in April it's not relevant (Max and Tour were above the previous RRP limit of £35k and therefore not eligible for a long time before that too).

Cool, ok thank you, was just bracing myself thinking that a monthly increase could be coming our way but it would appear that isnt likely which is great. When cars will start to appear however is still the million dollar question!

Plan have now issued me with an order number but despite searching I’ve not been able to find what to do with it.
How do you guys get your expected build week etc?

Hi Rich. I just throw a dart on a dartboard and use that as the most accurate estimate. Honestly, it’s anyone’s guess when these will pitch up… Our only source of info is from Plan themselves.

You’ll then need your plan order number not the VW order number, so it will be something like VWID-9*** and your email address, that will offer up some info but not much.

Maybe it was a mistake choosing this car

So had a unconfirmed build week shortly after ordering of 42. Build week was lost at start of July and dropped plan a message this morning to query if any update available but there reply suggests my order is still sitting as 00 with no unconfirmed/confirmed build week attached.

I havnt asked them for any update on build week changes, just don’t want the disappointment of being told it’s either no longer got one or it’s moved to 2023, although not wholly accurate to this situation but you could almost say ignorance is bliss!

I enquired last week, plan said it’s still scheduled for q4 2022

My Plan account estimated delivery changed to 31/03/2023 - that's a joke. What on earth are VW doing? I'm not buying the chip shortage excuse for such delays.

Can confirm mine has updated also - to 28/02/23 for the Max I ordered.

Presumably they've received an update from the dealer giving 2023 estimated build weeks after the MY23 switchover - would have been nice for them to notify us though perhaps.

Edit: As I will need to extend my current lease with VWFS, I asked them to provide me with a screenshot of the dealer portal with the order details, so I can give them the new estimated build week in order to determine how long I will need to extend for. This has revealed that the order has from from Status 10, unconfirmed build week 40 to Status 00, without production week. I'm assuming I can extend on a rolling basis so it isn't a particularly big problem, however it does suggest that it could be many, many months before these cars actually get built.

Depending on a few lines of inquiry I'm pursuing on a Life Pro Performance model and a Cupra Born I'm tempted to pull the plug on my order but we'll see.

Mines the same, has moved to estimated 03/23, not overly surprising I guess given other members recent feedback, a phone call would of been nice.

Calum, does your screenshot indicate a MY23 build anywhere at all?

That’s one positive then I guess and we haven’t had the long wait that most have, so whilst not great news a possible larger screen and other improvements are certainly welcome.
