How many seats ID.3 Tour Pro S 77kWh (Oct '22 build) ?
I'm usually quite sharp but have to admit I'm confused about this.
If I understand it correct the first 2021 MY ones with the 77kWh battery were only 4 seats.
This "may" have been changed though for 2022 MY and switched to 3 seats in the rear so 5 seats.

I thought all UK Tours remained 4 seats spec. In some countries a 5 seat option with reduced other tech was made available but I don't think it's ever been sold in UK.
ID.3 Family Pro Performance (Jan 22), Makena Turquoise / East Derry alloys. Ohme Home Pro charger.
It’s down to the weight / allowable payload due to the extra battery weight, I think. They had to cut a seat to keep the potential payload low and keep it under a certain threshold - hence no glass roof either.

I don't think this is true. My Tour 5 has the 77kWh battery with 3 seats in the rear. The only difference between the Tour and the Tour 5 is primarily very small components that wouldn't really add much to the weight, things like the HUD, a set of speakers in the rear and the two climate zone. Those components wouldn't weigh a large amount to be the equivalent of a 5th seat.

Has the Tour 5 got electric seats? If not, they must make a difference?cornbutter wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 9:30 pm I don't think this is true. Yeah they're not electric chairs. One other thing that I forgot about that would probably reduce the weight a bit between them is the soundproofing on the windscreen. The Tour 5 doesn't have that.
The difference between the two configurations is 6kg with the Tour 5 being the lighter of the two.

The Cupra Borne 77kWh version is 10kg higher than the Tour as well. So there technically even more head room in both configurations.
I could imagine them wanting to reduce weight, but with 6kg difference, if they wanted to they could add some of the missing features of they really wanted it. So I presume they wanted to be able to keep the price as low as it is. I think the Tour 5 is costing me something like €42k after the grant and the Tour would have cost a little over €45k.

I had a Life Pro Performance on order but the deal Plan offered on the Tour was considerably less a month so I snapped it up. I couldn't remember the last time I used all 5 seats in my current Golf so figured I could lose a seat for the extra gadgets

Would certainly have the Tour Pro over the Life but the Max Pro Performance looks a better option for me.
I would've been happy with a Max but I couldn't live with cheap wheel trims and Plan didn't have any with alloys. At least the tour comes with them as standard

Why would you order a Max with cheap wheels? Surely if you're going for a Max in the first place you're going balls to the wall?

It's standard with the Steel Wheels so may be all that's on offer depending who is supplying.cornbutter wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 11:44 am Why would you order a Max with cheap wheels? Surely if you're going for a Max in the first place you're going balls to the wall?
I've got alloys on all my current cars but to be honest depending on who is driving a car could make a difference to wheel preference. My wife would never notice the difference.
If it's on a lease too then for handing back you don't have the dinked alloy problem.

I suppose you could change the hubcaps on the steel wheels and it wouldn't look so bad. I think the default hub caps look awful on the ID3, maybe it's because it shows so much of the steel underneath. Whatever it is I'm not a fan of it.
