Morning

Tested a ID3 first edition with a plan to purchase but the car was only displaying i think kWh per 100 miles which is not what i am used to.

No one in the garage knew how to change it, is it an option in the settings so i know on the second test drive ?

What kind of non motorway Miles per kWh number are ID3 owners getting ?

Cheers

Gavin

Yes you can easily change from kWh per 100kM to kWh per 100Miles to Miles per kWh.

Presumably it's down to driving style and nature of the journey. If I was driving everywhere at 30-50mph, with minimal lighting and heating, I could crack 4 miles per kWh. As it is, most of my journeys are on dual carriageway doing a target 70mph.

Don't forget also, many of these people have only had the car no more than 8 months, so those long term averages reflect no winter driving.

Long term averages are interesting, but good to know averages speeds as well.

It would be good to know all the other figures which are displayed - average speed, total mileage, total time - we all know going faster reduces miles/kWh, but I suspect total time sat in car will also reduce as heating etc. will be on even when sat in a traffic jam.

Mine: Long term: 3706 mi, 106.01 h, 34 mph, 3.5 mi/kWh

If I divide range by time, then my average speed would be 34.96 mph, so either total time is just time car is moving rather than on or they are so close because I live in a rural location where there are no traffic lights and few traffic jams.

It would be useful to know if higher mi/kWh just correlates with lower average speeds.

If mine is anything to go by, doesn’t look like it does

1819 mi, 98:59h, 18 mph, 3.5 mi/kWh

Very much a local runabout / town car, everything switched on, with the odd 100+ mile / 70mph trip
