The app was continuing to show as last synced 4 hours earlier thus giving no clue whatsoever as to current status.
So eventually I just went to check ...and it was all done with no issues.
So, the answer is that you just have to guess when it's done.

All fine here, I gave it 6 hours. Appart from the radio on a different station nothing else had changed. Software showing v3.7.
ID3 Life Pro Performance Glacier White Andoya 19in Alloys
After a few days on 3.7 I've noticed some good positives
Menus are more responsive not super fast by any means but much better than before.
Android auto wireless has connected flawlessly where before it often didn't want to connect to my pixel 7 on 3.2.
Mileage now correct in app.

Hello! I need some help! It poped up that OTA is available on the infotaintment screen but I did not pressed OK because I was driving to work so I just ignored it. I did not get any other notification since then and can not find the 3.7 update in the menue. How and where can I find it? Thanks!
This happened to me a lot last week, it was there after some journeys but not after others. Yesterday I did four journeys and it was only there twice. Fortunately it was there after the last one when I got home, so I started the update and left it overnight.panwest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 8:44 am Hello! I need some help! Not a pop up. It shows up as a yellow item in the goodbye screen when you disconnect your seat belt after a drive.panwest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 8:44 am Hello! I need some help! As per my recent posts on this...it pops up and disappears from that menu when it feels like it.
Make sure you are ready to do the update next time you go looking for this yellow option on the goodbye screen...because once it knows you are looking for it it will hide again.
It was not a single yellow sign on the good bye screen.Batterdry500 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 10:21 amNot a pop up. Mine was initially a pop up as you describe...but thereafter it was just the yellow message in the goodbye screen
Yes, that was my experience - hides when you're ready for it!Batterdry500 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 10:21 amNot a pop up. Pleased to say that the update was successfully installed overnight.

Just pressed the button on my 3.7 upgrade, from 3.2. Went and had Sunday lunch and it was finished when my tummy was full. No issues, worked perfectly.

previously version 3.2 first edition.
Did my update this morning, I found you can just jump in the car, switch to drive. press park then you push the button in the ignition location.
menu appeared and was able to update.
left if for 3 hours then went out to test. screens etc seem much more responsive after initial startup.
my only issue is shop in saying it needs an update. waiting for that to come down next !?

Sit in the car with it all switched on after the main update is done and it will download a new minor update that fixes the shop and a couple of other things. It'll also download a 'digital wallet' update and prompt you to reinstall wecharge etc (in the wrong order). Takes 10-15 minutes all in.WanderingCookie wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 1:54 pm previously version 3.2 first edition.

First time didn’t seem to work. Went out later and sat while it downloaded manual/shop etc before I started driving. All good now

My 3.7 update went smoothly, on a 2020 ID.3. I was even plugged in for a quite long charge (Octopus issued a few alerts about not being able to control the car along the way!) And there were a couple of small updates afterwards, the first of which seemed to be related to the 3.7 update and the second was a document update and may have been a coincidence. I've done a long trip since (round trip Dundee to Glasgow) and all seems good.
The only change I have noticed is that when it comes to a speed limit sign that it hadn't expected (such as the start of roadworks), it now slows down much more gently rather than ramming on the anchors as it did before. I'm sure there's subtler stuff that I haven't noticed. I'm still to go down to Edinburgh on which journey the satnav always tells me to "move 2 lanes to the right"; it's just a normal exit and no need to change any lanes but 2 lanes would put me the other side of the central barrier! I am wondering whether 3.7 will fix that... (before anyone asks, I use the satnav on this regular trip because depending on traffic at the Edinburgh end it directs me on one of three routes).
