Increase % charge from app

Every now and then I need to increase the % SOC from say 80% to 100%. I go to the app>setting>charging and I increase it to charge to 100% and remove battery care mode.
I go to Octopus and change the charge target from 80% to 100% and increase the Ready by Time to a much later time.
But it never seems to work.
What am I doing wrong? Or does this feature not work??

Total guess but try removing battery care mode in car through infotainment and see if that sticks ?

Make sure you are using the right part of the app. If you have a charging location created at home, the main app settings menu will do precisely nothing for how the car behaves in that location.
You need to go to departure times-->(name of location)-->(settings cog).

If you don't have a charging location set up, you should use the main app settings menu (this controls the car settings whenever it is not in a created charging location, based on gps).

If you have definitely used the right settings menu in the app and the car has an Internet connection but things still don't work, your problem is something to do with Octopus.
(It would also help to know exactly what the symptoms are.)

As I posted elsewhere, I found I needed to set 100% in both app and car in order for it to be effective.

Blimey @sidehaas you are amazing. I will try the first part of your suggestion next time it is needed. I might even try it even though not really needed, I'm such a rascal. Thanks mate.

@TimF I usually do the car as well, but I didn't fancy going out in the cold.

I will post how I get on . . . soonish.
