Quite happy with that from a main dealer. The dealer I bought the car from was almost £100 more expensive.
Breakdown:
£141.78 for the 2 year inspection (car was registered Jan 2023) so this is its 1st service, its got 17k miles on it
£43.74 for brake fluid change
£58.80 for pollen filter change
My only query, my car had the latest 3.2 software in 2023 but obviously there are further, like 3.5 and 3.7. Just a little confused as to what software my car should be on, as I think the refreshed car (with the single piece bonnet) has different software options that mine. Will mine get 3.5 or 3.7 when its in for service I wonder?
Shopped around for service - £244 from VW dealer

Your car should be on 3.7, call in before you you take it and ask if upgrade to 3.7 is included in the price of the service.
Bare in mind the updates will take over 4hrs to install.
These are OTA (Over the Air) updates meaning you can do them yourself.
If you do not see the yellow warning "Update Available" before exiting the car or the update listed as a new message it means you have not provided consent for OTA updates in the myVW portal and you should do so (if you want to install the updates yourself).
My advise is if you are not 100% confident (car may potentially be bricked) have the garage do it.

I think it's unlikely the garage will do the update. It's meant to be done ota at home so the garage may not be able to charge their time for doing it back to VW. I think they normally only do it if (1) there is a fault covered by warranty that the update might fix or (2) the car is still on <3.2 (so the recall for update to 3.2 is still open, in which case they just take it directly to 3.7).
ID.3 Family Pro Performance (Jan 22). Also an ID.4 Max. Ohme Home Pro charger.

Thanks for the tips. So its in with the dealership as of this morning and they said that there is nothing on the system to say it needs a software update (I've always been on 3.2) but I did point out that it's flaky letting me use the app to heat the car some mornings so they said they would check it out for me.
Will see what happens. Good to know I can just do OTA if it doesn't get an update from the dealership.

My dealership updated my software to 3.7 for me when the car was in to have a new sound generator. Perhaps it may be different if in for just a service.sidehaas wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 6:53 pm I think it's unlikely the garage will do the update. Apologies. Just read your first sentence before posting. Should have read the rest.vanb wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 8:00 amMy dealership updated my software to 3.7 for me when the car was in to have a new sound generator.
