You can now order Model Y in the UK. First Deliveries expected early 2022.*

I was very tempted to wait for the Model Y, particularly after deliberating over a Model 3 for months before eventually deciding it wasn't practical enough. Not at £60k for the spec I'd want though.

I don't expect this to eat into the ID.3 market very much.

I agree. I looked at the configurator and 60k is a lot for a hatchback!

Nope, but the ID.4 GTX looks comparable.

The ID.4 is a slightly different story at the top end. But still, you need to go to the top of the line model before it becomes comparable. There's an awful lot of ID.4s with similar range that you can buy and have 10k+ in small change left over.

The Model Y will sell like crazy, it already does. That's why Tesla can charge crazy money for it. Good for them, and good for us in general as EV drivers.
