Hi All

Yesterday I installed the software update on my ID3, which failed and I got this error on my screen " system update not complete. Observe warning! Vehicle wallet!".

Anyone else got this error when they updated/installed the software.

Picture attached!!

Part 1 didn’t install on mine the first time. I gave it another try (from the “goodbye” screen) the next morning and it worked.

Quick question.. Did you plug the car into charge at the same time?

Yes, I was charging the car same time.

I have tried factory reset today but nothing worked for me 😔😔. Still have that annoying message on my dashboard screen.

Updates don't install when the car is charging.

I've not read through all the posts but is there a way to turn off the horrible background colour bleed over to the home button side in 2.3 ? When in CarPlay mode it really doesn't look good.

Maybe post a picture of what you mean by colour bleed, I might be misunderstanding what you mean.

I've read so many different bits of information around this OTA update. Does it only download when the car is in use and with a decent 4G signal? I haven't seen a peep yet (I know I am not the only one) but the car only does short journeys in an area with iffy reception, I am wondering if I need to take a ride into a more built up area, but then there's the whole 'Update day' issue.
At this rate I might never get all the stars aligned in order to get anything.

I also notice that a lot of screenshots show the Nav version as being 21.8 I am still on 21.5?

I probably doesn’t bother other people but to me it looks terrible

By colour bleed, do you mean the intentional shading of certain segments of the screen to provide a visual border between segments?

How else would you differentiate between the various parts of the screen, while keeping the user choice of background colour?

Look at the background on the 3 main types of display: All icons, all widgets, specific pages of settings - at least that right-side panel stays consistent.

To answer your original question, no this is not changed in 2.3.

It wasn’t that way in 2.1 or earlier

NOW I see what you mean, thanks to a Google image search - it looks better now than it did:

Though looking at that picture, who would choose that particular shade of "Bilious Green" ? 🤢

I completed the second one yesterday night. My wife uses the car in the morning and at 5pm when she gets back from work, I use it at 6pm and 8pm for my trip to work. Both updates happened with me, so late evening, we have generally a good connection but just a couple of bars inside the garage.
Both times it gave me a notice which I ignored, parked and closed the car. Then when arrived and parked at home the update was available.

Given up stressing about it, from what I see the 2.3 update doesn't do much and it might or might not arrive some day. Not going to park near a 4G mast, nor wait 60 seconds before starting the car every time and stroking my lucky rabbits foot.

Lucky Rabbits foot!!!! That wasn't in the email!! Best I can find is a dried up bit of lucky heather, I hope that's going to do it..
