I would take a guess that yours did not come with memory function seat?
Great pic though.

Hi,

This is potentially the car I am looking at, would be interested in your opinion? Also could you take a photo of rear seats as states it is a four seater.

Thanks in advance.

Plenty if you search Google Images, such as this:

Note that there are 4 seatbelts also, and no isofix in the middle of the bench where the "hole" is. I heard from my dealer that apparently some people have been thinking that the "fifth" seat would be OK to fit a child's car seat into, then have tried to reject the car because there aren't 5 seatbelts in a 4 seat car.

One thing I'd be interested in knowing though; is the "hole" between the seats soft or hard ? From the pictures it could either be leatherette or hard plastic, and the dealer didn't know.

Does it have memory seats? Where the massage seat button is there should be an additional 2

Imagine this is probably old news..but I’ve only just come across it. Noticed that the 77 kwh variant comes in 5 seats in Germany. Thought I’d finally read everything I could about the various trims and battery sizes 😂

I heard that a while back but do wonder what else has been removed to keep the weight down?

Because of the Tour having the bigger battery it only has a payload of 345kg compared to the Max which has a payload of 458kg.

Perhaps the average German weighs less than the average person in other VW sales territories :?
.. though based on personal experience this seems unlikely.

They may have done something to the brakes and suspension, or it could just be a paperwork update (happens all the time on commercial airplanes). If the latter it might eventually be able to retrofit older models.

As this was never answered, it is soft touch plastic, so in-between your options. Didn't stop my daughter from sleeping comfortably on it for hours while we drove to Italy.

It might look like pointless luxury to you, but my wife is disabled and a totally different “shape” to me. Electric seats means she can more safely adjust the seating, and memory means I don’t have to stand in the pissing rain because she sets the drivers seat to a position where I can’t even get in the car!

Sorry, I think you’ve taken that the wrong way. What I meant was are they a thing on the ID3? I have a Max on order, so I know they’re powered, but I’ve never seen mention on any UK literature of them being memory seats. And I don’t think they’re a pointless luxury, my wife and I have different driving positions, so on the contrary, I think they’re incredibly useful and am disappointed that our car may not have them.

Ah sorry!

The electric seats on the Max and the Tour were listed as having memory in several VW price lists between July and September. Hence the topic 😀

Hi Andrew. I had memory seats on my first BMW Z4 in 2004. Amazing. My Son had one key and me the other. The seat would automatically position itself based on what key was used. They have been around a long time. My Son still has that car.
