With the automated parking i wonder if this the option to remotly park and drive out of spaces via you mobile would be an extra you can purchase via the new store on the latest software?

I have noticed that the configurator is only working for the Max today. I've had an error message on the other trims each time I've tried today.

They're definitely working on it. I've been playing with the Max and have had a few different seat centres displayed.

Yes well “working on it” is what preprod and actual test environments are for. VW’s web monkeys need a right spanking, showing all these defects and issues to customers gives professionals a bad name 😡

Trouble is with VW its just water off a duck's back.
They know damn well people are queuing for their cars and are willing to wait.
It needs something like China to give them a kick up the backside.
Although China has a little way to go yet.

Yeah, I've always found it weird how they transition changes to the configurator, seems to lack any sort of professionalism. I guess some of it could be caching coherence issues.

I went on the live chat and they seemed to think that the updates for all model should go live tomorrow on the configurator

Is it me or is VW leaning into the "shades of grey" aesthetic harder than an 1980's "Cure" fan ?

We've seen it before when they've offered more colourful interior options on the likes of the up!, Polo and T-Roc, and they're just never popular, everyone opts for the most boring colour which is always grey/black.

Sure, but the pre MY22.5 dash was a bit lighter, wasn't it ? Whereas the new dash looks "Batman" dark to me 😀

I'm also trying to work out which bits of the seat are vegan leather. Vegans have a perfect right to choose non-animal products and I'll go to the wall to defend their choice, but I don't know why we all have to suffer by default 😂 I was scarred - literally - by sunshine on the plastic seats in the ancient Allegro we had as family transportation when I was a kid and clearly the PTSD hasn't fully been addressed...

Perhaps, you should not ask why you have to suffer but why should the animal suffer.

I assume if there were more intelligent life on a different planet and they came to Earth you would not object if they killed your children and used their skin as leather and ate their flesh. Surely, this is the same argument as human animals killing other animals.

Pretty sure my kids would be all stringy.

Ultimately choice = cost. Vegan leather suits the ideology behind EV ownership, so it's hardly surprising manufacturers are choosing it. I don't mind, I've spent plenty of time in Teslas and what they use is great.

Vegans believe there should not be a choice.

I cannot understand why some meat eaters believe it is wrong to eat a dog or a horse (or even dead humans).

I am a vegetarian and not a vegan and my view has now changed. I think vegetarianism is not enough. The vegan view is morally correct.

Not necessarily, I know a few vegans who have made the choice because of lifestyle or health reasons. They're not all militant!

Configurator for the Max seems to no longer offer the bi-colour Silver exterior styling - I like that and have ordered it on mine… wonder if it’s been dropped?
