Do you get to choose your reg plate at all ? or is it just assigned ?

Depends on your dealer. They are normally allocated a bunch of regs at the start of the month and will let you pick one from the list.
This has certainly been the case for me on the last few cars I have bought.
Ask your dealer once your car arrives or else they might just unload the worse looking plate on you !

Ordered a Family Pro with East Derry alloys and a heat pump back on the 20th September through my company car scheme.
Been told it will be here in early to mid March.
I changed the colour to Kings Red last week, the dealer/VW and the company car provider are still saying mid March so I'm hoping it's not too long after that.
Any chance of getting added to the tracker?

These are the updates they make. MY22 changes were introduced back in July. MY22.5 is now in effect for cars built from wk51 onwards but only really cosmetic changes. If you ordered from 1st December onwards there are a few more updates within the MY22.5 changes

Often the dealers will just assign a reg unless you request a choice, and now it is often only a choice of three reg's rather than a whole sheet like it used to be...... this is usually the admin department not wanting to create more work for themselves and having managed dealerships for 17 years I can tell you , some of these admin staff are properly scary!
If your a company car lease chances are theyll just assign one

Its the ID.3 thats had a couple of updates in the form of new seat materials, a few changes to the finishing inside plus the choice of Kings red metallic. Downside is if you order it now its around £1500 more expensive
