Delivery time

Two words and they no longer go together - Volkswagen and efficiency. There are other words but this is a Family show, sorry Family no-show.

Had another email from the lease company:

"Currently, the estimated build week for your vehicle is 06/03/2023. Please note that the date provided is only intended as a guide and is the estimated build slot for your vehicle, NOT your delivery date."

So currently on track for 16 and a half months from order to delivery.

My latest projected build week is now Wk 14 2023!! That is the middle of April and a year later than what the sales person told me when I ordered the car in November 2021.
It made the jump from the ubiquitous Wk 38 to Wk 2 at the beginning of August. That means that the delivery date is actually accelerating away from me the more time passes.

Just called the dealer that Leaseplan are using for me and they've told me I'm still on track for week 44 build, but it hasn't gone confirmed yet. Will try them again next week in the hope it goes to status 20 and I can at least relax then.

OZEV just announced that the grant window is officially being extended to 18-months.

Have been advised by our dealer that our car has been put in to production last week, Week 39.
Does anyone know what that means for a delivery date at the moment?

Toss a coin three times and ignore the results is the VW methodology. Some people have received within 4 weeks of the build week, others (like me) have been waiting for far more than 4 weeks and the car has not even left Emden. So the simple answer is that there is no rhyme or reason as to when your car will turn up.

Great news. Last update from my dealer was that my grant was still showing as valid despite the order now being 13 months old.

After being told last week that our Oct 2021 order had been delayed until Jan 2023 and that we’d lost the grant it’s brilliant news.
I’m sure the dealership will try and get out of it , mad as we have been talking directly to VW U.K. and they told us we’d lost the grant ! Obviously the government have decided this week to change it .

This is fantastic news regarding the grant. I just hope VW don't use it as an excuse to push my order back further.

That was the first thing I thought !
We had a Nov 21 build date then it was switched to an April 23 now it’s a Jan 23.
So either it will make the new grant or they delay it again …
Then again it might just turn up out the blue like a lot of other orders!

Maybe they’ll start making some tour and max now that they don’t have to rush all the others through for the grant?
