I was thinking to order an ID3, but would like realistic expectations of delivery time (and if it would be the facelift delivered)? Any thoughts? Cheers in advance

Think at the moment the only option you have here is the entry level life spec. I'd maybe hang off ordering until they open up the order book to more specifications so you can get whatever spec of car you want. If you order now, you might be able to pick up a cancelled order somewhere which would be the current version if it's due to be delivered between now and late summer or if you place a new order wait times are still up over a year so should be facelift you get.

Hi all! Dealer sent email with VIN and mentioned car still in production. Whatever that means. I wonder how long to delivery now?

Dealership just contacted us with our VIN and form to fill in for the DVLA registration.
First registration fee £55 nice .....
No delivery date yet but I'd imagine end of Jan beginning of Feb now.
It's been a long wait but finally we are getting there!

I’m so jealous.

I’m a week 47 too.
Last update on Wednesday there was status 40, so at least it’s in the UK. It has to go from Grimsby to Tamworth then up here to Scotland.

I’m calling them tomorrow to see if they’ve received it. If they have it and can’t deliver it in a couple of days then I’ll go and get it myself. I’ve been without a car since August now.
I was a week 50 but today was told status 40. At the very end of December it was at status 38. Dealer waiting for an e-mail from the transport company that delivers to Scotland

My order is through Leaseplan who have chosen a dealer in Tamworth to order the vehicle. Speaking to the dealer, they don't do the PDI at the dock like some others do, so it needs to make it's way to them in Tamworth first.

I have a colleague who was a build week 47, same dealer and they've been told that even though their car is also in the UK, it's looking like a Feb delivery - and they only stay in Leicester.

I'm going to call the dealer again on Friday to see if it's at least on their way to them. I'm happy to go pick it up from them rather than wait for it to be delivered to Scotland - it wouldn't be my biggest expense considering what it will cost me if I don't get the car this month.

It has been such a shlep. My order was through Barnetts in Dundee, just up the road from me.
My Mate ordered an ID4 in February 2022, his car is also status 40.
The two cars might have been on the same ship from Emden as both cars were status 38 last week

I have a registration number now!!

It's still showing status 40, but according to the guy at the dealer it was scheduled to leave the port yesterday, so hoping it's with them in a week now.

Sounds like a few of us have been having some positive news lately. The dealer told me he would be sending some paperwork for me over the weekend, so hopefully it will be things like VIN and registration number, as well as their bank details no doubt.

I cancelled my ID.3 order a few days ago after a very stupid conversation with VW where they blamed my dealer for the lack of information from VW!

And today they sent me an email apologising for the delay In my delivery. They cannot seem to get anything right, sigh.

I totally understand why you cancelled your order.
Although our car is built and close to delivery I haven't forgotten the lack of communication.
At one point we went to cancel the car at our dealership, they had contacted VW U.K. directly before we turned up.
They convinced us not to cancel we then received regular emails from VW U.K. and a screenshot of our order.
It was like pulling teeth getting any information from VW.
Up to now we have had a Toyota on PCP and they have been excellent, couldn't do enough for us.
I honestly think VW customer care is probably the worse I've ever experienced.

I'm waiting for an ID3 Family Pro, ordered in November 2021.

It's now Status 20, with a confirmed build week of 03 of 2023. Realistically how long after this should I expect to get the vehicle?

It's Pulman fleet, ordered via NHS fleet solutions if that makes any difference.

I hope the charger I had installed a year ago actually works!

From what I’ve noticed on here the average appears to be about 6-8 weeks, although some have been longer.

My car was built in week 47, but I’m still waiting on it arriving at the dealer.
