Delivery time

Just asked my dealer if my max build week has remained unchanged, and they confirmed. It still shows unconfirmed build week 9. Should be confirmed at the end of this month.

I was offered an used 2021 Pro Performance Tech 150 kW 58 kWh at roughly same mothly price as my ordered car, but I didnt take it. I strongly prefer my ordered spec and hopefully were getting closer..

On another note, the id5 is on the motability scheme. You couldn't make it up.
My motability max is reporting as week 12, last update the 6/1/23. You couldn’t write this fiasco if you’d have tried! Also saw the iD5 on the scheme, hope the iD3 will be worth the wait.

It really is a fiasco.

Had an update this morning from the dealer.
Apparently my car will leave port tomorrow and be delivered to the dealer either tomorrow or Thursday.
They're estimating that all going well it will be delivered to me on Friday 20th.
I've pushed back on that part. I've offered to go collect it from Tamworth at my own expense (It's their fleet office compound rather than a traditional dealership) but they are sticking with "insurance won't allow you at our office - so I'll look at escalating it if they won't get it to me quicker.

Although living in Scotland I'd be unlikely to use them again personally - anyone in the Midlands - I wouldn't recommend using Johnsons at all. Absolute terrible customer service.

I had mine delivered through Johnsons last week all went well. Very helpful staff arranged everything. On the day I could track the delivery on an app and a minor issue post delivery was sorted over the phone.

Called into dealers today totally fed up of hearing nothing was intending on cancelling the order and moving on. Turns out car was built last week and is status 38 so finally shouldn't be too long hopefully.

Nice to hear. The fleet team have been really evasive with me. What was the app you used? Which company did the delivery?

Could anyone post a picture of the interior of a Life model been delivered recently please? Do they come
with fabric seats? Are they fitted with side sensors?

Elite Logistics did the delivery up to Stockport. The tracking was through a link in a text sent to me. All very organised!
The long wait is worth it. I only got the basic model to test an electric car out so far so good.
Do hope the charging network gets better soon as we nearly ran out on a test drive to N Wales!

Ahh, it's a company called ECM who are delivering it to me in Scotland.
Just really not confident in Johnsons. Had too many ignored emails, false information and "computer says no" attitudes from them. Had you ordered from a dealer showroom? Mine is through Leaseplan who chose Johnsons to order it. When it comes to replacement, I think I'll be asking Leaseplan who they order with to avoid using Johnsons again.

Hi, Really not sure what is included! When I ordered it in Nov 21 I wasn't expecting any changes. I assume the seats are the new design. No side sensors or reversing camera but 3.1 update.
Build date looks to be 15/11/22

The seats were redesigned for all models, they are different from the old (MY22) Life seats but also different from the new (MY22.5) Family seats.

My order was start of march '22 so I should see the new spec life when it finally gets built. Original estimate was November '22, now "early 2023" - time to give them a nudge to see if there's an update!

A late 22 or early 22 ordered life?

The new seats and side sensors were not a free upgrade. You needed to have ordered a late 22 life to have got these features.

My garage have been telling me to expect the car in Feb/Mar. They rang today to say the 18" East Derry wheels I ordered were out of stock, and offered me 19" Andoya for no extra charge, which I accepted. Haven't seen anyone else on here with this happening.

Funny you should say that. Just had a call to say exactly that. East Derry's not available, VW UK called my lease co., Who asked I I wanted the free upgrade to 19" andoyas (stated ~3% range reduction, + small increase to P11D value). Said the build slot is this week so saved me chasing them!

Got the email today. Car has arrived at dealer and they’ve agreed to let me collect it rather than delivery. Will have my new car on Monday 16th!

Evening all,

Does anyone have any experience with Lex Autolease and how to get any useful information out of them on the progress of an order? My order (company car) for the base ID3 Life Pro in Moonstone Grey was accepted by VW in January 2022. Since then I’ve had an ‘expected stock date’ of end October 2022, then end November 2022 and now end March 2023. I’ve contacted Lex several times to try and get more information, expected build dates, status codes as others seem to have but am met with complete silence. I have access to an online portal but the only information it contains is an expected stock date which is when I presume the dealer will get it.

Looking at others updates I’m hoping arrival won’t be that far off now, although it does seem to be a bit of a lottery as to when it’ll turn up!

My dealer told me yesterday that my car would arrive today, and that I could pick it up next week.
