My Tour was delivered to me in December '21.
My confirmed build week was 39 (26/9/21)
Then on 19/11/21 my dealer got an accurate state of where my car was and on this date it was in the paintshop.
On 25/11/21 in was in transit to Emden.

I’ve just had a confirmation that my max is due to be built next week. However they can not confirm the specs and or seats, electric seats and so on.

Time will tell, as normal VW doesn’t know what VW is doing.

You'll be fine. They've been putting in the electric seats and travel assist for months, even after they pulled people from ordering it.

I have no clue what will the final specs be. For example memory seats, front camera / area view, parking features, screen size...

Im dreaming most about suprise memory seats due the two users of this would-be-car being very different sizes.

Just popped by to see how you’re all doing, and have been utterly horrified to see that many familiar faces are still waiting for their Tours and Maxes.

Hang in there folks, even though I didn’t 😂

And I want to add a strong salute to all here who have kept the order tracker going - brilliant community effort.

May your waits be short, and your software issues non-existent.

No regrets whatsoever with the Tesla. Appreciate that a Tesla isn’t everyone’s cup of char, and it’s much more expensive than an ID …. but it’s been absolutely reliable and a good companion.

Interestingly my Dad ditched his Model 3 in the last 6 months and picked up an E-Niro MY23 …. which has proven to be a software quality and reliability disaster compared to his Tesla.

Good to hear that you are happy with the Tesla. Do you think you should have gone for the Tesla at the outset?

Hello Folks

Finally been notified my car is status 20 for next week.
Slightly in advance of the original status 20 date of week 8 I got before.
Dealership advise delivery to me estimate is the end of March beginning of April.
A full 16 months after order placement as per signature below.
Earlier than some on here, which I do feel really sorry for those who ordered before me.

I have no idea about final specs but, based upon what others have said on here, I am not worried.
I will be getting the dealership to go through them all with me when I take delivery in any event.
I have a copy of the specs at the time of order so have a reference to check against.
In addition the dealership and this forum have confirmed VW will honour the deal so nothing to worry about I am sure.

The only niggle is that my current VW EV no longer has remote connectivity, which is a bit of a pain.
Being elderly and not as mobile as I once was, this is something I rely on a lot.
VW want another £90 to extend this paywall feature.
No part periods available.
Either a year or nothing at all.

I raised the matter with my dealership as per the emails/letters I have received from VW.
You all know the ones I am sure.
Apologising for the delays and assuring us that if the delays cause any issues we are to contact the dealership.
The email I got back from the dealership was, we are sorry but cannot help.

Looks like another classic VW empty promise, put into their communications to appease customer frustrations.
Just like they tried to do at the start of diesel gate.

But at least it looks like the new car will be delivered eventually in the next Month or so.
Which I was beginning to think was just a pipe dream like many on this forum.
Current EV: ID.3 Tour Pro S :D
Previous EV: VW EGolf (Sep2019)
Date Ordered: 01/11/2021 :(
Date Finally Delivered: 15/03/2023
Deal Honoured: :!: :?: :|
Dealership: Herritage Gl :? but love the individual people.

Glad to hear things are going well with the Tesla!

Here's hoping cars actually start moving through the factory and get fully built, not just part built and stuck in storage while they wait for other parts to arrive!
