could this be to do with the colour? have they stoped the turquoise and light blue colours and are now sending them out silver instead, is there an agreement your dealer needs to send back that its ok? Just seems strange that most are going to status 20 and yours is so close and still at 10

It's certainly a possibility, but I think the discontinuation of Makena Turquoise is only for the facelift, not prior to that, or at least I haven't been advised differently by my dealer. I'd have been more than happy to switch colours if my dealer suggested this was the issue and that I needed to make another selection. Maybe that will be my route of discussion if my order doesn't move forward in the next month.

I hope this isn't the case. My car is apparently confirmed for build, according to the lease company. That would be status 20. I ordered Makena Turquoise.

Mine has just now been built in Makena Turquoise. It’s hardware that is the issue.

I *think* the 3 ports here are Tyne (I think that covers north England and Scotland), Grimsby and Sheerness (?). The port in Germany is Emden. The last I looked there's a boat coming to Grimsby tomorrow.

I asked the same question. i was told that my ID.3 would be made in Makena Turquoise and it was . it was built in week 07 , just waiting for it to get here now. i think this is different from when white silver was discontinued as the turquoise is still available on other VW models like the T-Cross

Don't get too excited. Back in Dec 21 mine sat at Emden awaiting a ship to Grimsby. Whilst at Emden it saw 6 ships come and go to Grimsby before thumbing a lift on the seventh.

It's a bitter pill to swallow when you see later order numbers getting built and shipped. I don't hold any grudges to the users on here, who have had more luck.
Just VAG and their balls up of how they've handled the whole ID.3 affair.

Very true. I fully understand there has been a shortage of parts. But the way VAG have handled it. Launching and building endless seats with the same components then too many ID5s showed total disregard to those who already had orders in. But worst of all was the total silence and lack of updates, when ever i tied to contact them to find out what was happening they simply passed the buck to the dealers who they would not give updates to either. Even now there is no logic is which orders are being built and which are not.

Im just hoping there will finally be a post soon from someone who has received their tour model to show its actually happening.

Only trouble now is my Wife is having second thoughts about becoming a 2x EV family… Hey ho, I’ll trade in my e208 instead and she can keep her dirty diesel Golf - I’ve waited too long to fall at the last hurdle now!

It would be great if you could let us know how the ID.3 and the e208 compare once you’ve had time to compare them yourself. I went for the ID.3 as it has bigger interior and greater range. I liked the outside look of the e208 but don’t usually like Peugeot interiors-always bought German.

Ok so here is the thing.
The tour I ordered all those many months ago is being made ready for collection next week.

All the time I have been waiting for the Tour, I have been advised by the dealership that my “original deal” was guaranteed.
Now I am due to collect my car, I have been asked to esign the finance deal (without being sent a revised order form) and I find some of the detail appears to have changed.

So need a bit of info from those who have collected or are about to collect new cars for which they have been waiting a long time..

Question 1: Has anyone else noted the VW finance interest rate has jumped from 4.2% to 9.2%? I accept that “times have changed” but that is still 1.3% above the publicly quoted VW finance interest rate for a new tour of 7.9% purchased on finance. What did the dealership tell people that 1.3% penalty (effectively) was for?

Question 2: Did anyone else find the “deal” had changed in any other way when finalising the collection of their car from the dealership after all this time?

First world problem I know but I just want to check what others may have found out when organising collection of the new car after a long wait.

Yay!

Car got delivered yesterday, only had a quick spin out in it but it's really responsive and punchy to drive. The spec is a Life Pro single spec, which I think for clarity they could have called a Life+ or something.

Not had time to fully play with the settings yet, as my gripe was that it took 4 uninstalls/reinstalls and 16 log out/ins to get the app and the phone connected!!

Next job is to go visit a public charger and give that a go.

Will post some pictures once the snows gone and it's had a rinse off.

They should be honouring the figures when you ordered, we waited 13 months for the family and all figures were as ordered.

Your dealer is just trying to get more commission from the finance.

Was informed by dealer yesterday that at my week 9 Tour is "built and has left the factory" and that the dealer will update when it is shipped. Why do I presume that left the factory could mean moved to a local field and parked up? or have I just become rather suspicious of VW over the last 19 Months !
