FYI spoke to VW customer services on webchat today, as I’ve still heard no news from my Tour that had been in build since week 7/8… so 6-7 weeks now….

They have now stated that their access (via the brand services team) has been removed from looking at order updates so have no information to provide.

They told me to talk to the dealer again, which obviously had no updates either. I asked for the complaints procedure and was told the only way to complain was via my retailer,

I sent VW a complaint email about VW only to be be told they don't deal with complaints and said contact the dealership. So I sent the complaint to the dealership complaining about VW.

VW customer services are shameful, shitty arsed charlatans.

Yes, to complain about VW they tell you to take it up with the dealer, so you downvote VW by downvoting the dealer on sites like trustpilot and then VW financially punish the dealer.

Yep, VW taking zero responsibility and pass the buck to the dealerships. It isn't the dealership that make the cars so why VW don't entertain complaints is beyond me.

I know my car is on it's way but like you, I won't entertain that mob again.

My Max is in the UK!

Vanarama tell me that their dealer has informed them that the car is in the UK, en route to them within the week. Things are progressing!

I've had no updates, other than it's not showing built. Will let you know when it leaves the factory and the port.

I collect a new Qashqai Tekna ePower on Tuesday, that was a new factory order on the 7th Feb '23.
I know it's not an EV, but it only has electric drivetrain. Instead of plugging it in, I just fill the petrol generator's tank.

It's been 19 months, and it's time to call it a day.
I hope you all enjoy and others eventually get their ID3s.

Sad to see you go at the 11th hour, I really dont know what VW are playing at, it would not be so bad if, when this sort of thing happens, you can contact someone who can check on the status and see what the problem is. All you get, if you can get anything at all, is "ask the retailer" but they have not been updated either and have no way to get updates other than the ones vw send. Its insane.

On a +ve note my next door neighbour has the nissan qashqui epower and loves it, It has the e-pedal too which is one of my favourite features on my leaf (and something the ID sadly lacks), Hope it serves you well.

Woohoo , I now have the registration number for my Jan 22 ordered family pp ordered through lex.

It's saying an estimated stock and delivery date of 2 weeks time. Fingers crossed I get a call from the dealer to arrange delivery ( Listers Stratford-upon-Avon,)

Just taken delivery of my Family Pro Performance this morning - I'm in Shawlands (Glasgow) and the transporter was dropping off an identical car 5 minutes away in Pollokshields.

Disappointed that the supplying dealer hadn't even cleaned the inside of the car but glad that I'm finally across the line. Now I've got lots of reading to do on the forum to find out the things I can and can't do with it.

I had asked for the software to be updated, it came with 3.1 but says new software is available.

Quite a few cars seem to have been delivered with 3.1 but had a quick OTA update to 3.2. It's just bug fixes.

Just incase it's useful knowledge for people. I had an update from the lease cars supplying dealer and apparently there is a backlog for VW at the UK port ( sorry don't know which one) so they are saying expect a delay of up to 10 days to get to the dealer.

This could be why cars are waiting at Emden for a long time as there may not be space to process them in the UK at specific ports.

My dealership phoned me last week to say my car is waiting on a transporter and could take up to 2 weeks.

I spoke with the VW telephone line yesterday and to my surprise they were very helpful (unlike their Facebook responses) and was informed that my Tour (or is that a unicorn) was being loaded onto the ship and should be at the delers by the end of the month! Will believe it when I actually see the car!

Why do people have to push and push and push to get them to do anything? why cant they just pick up a phone and ask "where the **** is order number XYZ?"

Yes I heard this too. Dealer today suggested that while our Max is at Emden ready to board, it will be probably be around mid-May before it reaches us.
